Beautiful day to be knocking on doors and meeting constituents along Quinpool Rd. Again and again, folks are raising rent control as their number one issue. Ready to hold our inactive government to account on this file when the house sits next month. #nspoli #halifax

Hi there, I applied through EI on March 20 and converted me to CERB. I submit my bi-weekly reports and receive $1000 bi-weekly. However, today received only $500. Isn't the CERB extended? Thanks!

Thank you @JustinTrudeau for stopping Cerb or any kind of EI for 5 weeks, so how am I supposed to pay rent now... this is crazy. I can’t pay rent or even put food on my table now because you’ve stopped ALL payments. Fuck you – at Toronto, Ontario

Before the coronavirus crisis hit, people wondered if Canada could afford a universal basic income. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the question is, can we can afford NOT to have a guaranteed liveable income? My words for @vicecanada vice.com/en_ca/article/3a8mv…

The Coronavirus Pandemic Proves We Need Universal Basic Income

Canada’s COVID-19-related unemployment crisis makes the case for a guaranteed liveable income. Economists say the CERB and wage subsidies show the need for a universal basic income.
