I used travel sized Winsor&Newton watercolors that moved with me from Canada and Faber castle pens gifted for Christmas to create this piece.

As some of you may know, doodlephd recently became a doodlepostdoc and relocated to Boston. I haven't had a chance to restart my art since I left Canada, primarily due to space constraints in setting up the studio ....

However, thanks to some free supplies and space at the library, I was able to go down and create this piece. This was more of a meditative process of randomly selecting colors and random brush strokes that resulted in a multi-layered abstract art piece.....

I didn't photograph the process because it was so chaotic, but I was pleased with the end result. Acrylics on canvas.

A friend asked me to make a bookmark and I got carried away 🤭 These are all the good ones that were shipped yesterday. A few more were created which didn't cross my personal cutoff.

Bringing this painting from 2016. I just started painting acrylics then when my lovely friend trusted in me and asked me to make something to remind them of home. This was my first customized painting, featuring beautiful Kilimanjaro and African wild life....(1)

This is also the biggest painting I made by far. It took over 1 week of on and off work for drying layers and creating more. I might do a better job with it if I am to paint it now but hey, still proud of it......
