A Republican political group accidentally spent nearly $25,000 running ads to help Sen. Susan Collins in Portland. Portland, Oregon, that is. Not Portland, Maine. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…

GOP ad buyer mixes up Portlands, spends money meant to help Maine Sen. Susan Collins in Oregon

An outside group mistakenly spent nearly $25,000 to boost Collins in Portland, Oregon, rather than Portland, Maine. The buyer admitted to the error and refunded the PAC.

Instagram has some explaining to do. 😅 The app has been repeatedly recommending Creed’s 1999 hit "Higher" to users adding music to their Stories, whether they’re posting a sunset, a dinner plate, or a random photo dump. Users started wondering if Creed was paying Meta to push the song after it kept showing up in their music suggestions. Instagram has since admitted "Higher" was being recommended to more people than intended and says it’s investigating what went wrong. Has it happened to you? 📷 Getty
