Hackers need to step their game up and delete everyone's loans, bad credit and mortgages.

The "KYC everyone for everything" situation has gotten totally ridiculous. Even for non-financial products & use cases, I am having to scan my face and drivers license to get access to things like a Lime scooter, e.g. Before they could give me accounting advice, a Big 4 firm recently asked me to send a photo of my email *attached as a JPEG*. This expectation creep around personal data sharing already has documented devastating consequences (e.g. financial ruin) at the individual level. It's only going to be a matter of time before personal identity compromise of enough individuals leads to a total collapse of online trust.

nobody would ever notice that claude is a bad hacker, since 'claude eventually uses 200,000 subagents and 14 million dollrs of tokens to pwn a vulnerable service' makes claude sound bigger and more impressive the less efficient, terse, or reasoned their programming strategy is.

you really need to have the bravery to hate farmers and agriculture in this contemporary world

farms isn't nature; farms isn't fallow, farms isn't ecological abundance, farms is +entropy, not -entropy. if you can concentrate farms further and make more land fallow, you get more -entropy. broadly speaking pecuniary farms is a mistake.

Data centers should at the *BARE MINIMUM* be placed in already existing industrial zones + ran with green renewable energy. Everyone in that space has the money to do that. Anything less--> everyone involved deserves to be against the wall. Stop destroying the earth for humans.
it is right and salutary to shame software engineers who care more about ai than they care about the actual real changes they have the power to make in their industry (and with the $$ from their salaries) to combat climate change

destroying the earth for humans as in "seeing humans andor the ai you claim will descend from them as so much more important or deserving compared to the rest of the natural world that you will purposefully or accidentally destroy Earth in the name of saving or helping humanity"

a lot of things that upper middle class n rich ppl seem to be afraid of in the AI Future are things that already exist in some form or another and negatively affect ppl of lower classes

without divulging the Sacred Knowledge, I WILL say that authors love it when you reach out directly to them and ask for a copy of their paper. 99% of the time they will enthusiastically send you a free copy and then ask you about your own research in regards to the subject

sometime in the late 2010s ppl forgot all the sacred knowledge about how to access things behind paywalls etc it is very disheartening idk if this is for the same reason genz and alpha are more likely to know how to iPad and Phone but not know how to Computer
To publish something on a paywalled site is to make it invisible. If AIs can't find it, then for all practical purposes it doesn't exist. These two sentences aren't 100% true yet, but they will only get truer.

knowing the history of capitalism in the west + industrialism WHYYYYY do ppl think ai will create a jobless utopia for humans? it is not based in historical reality nor the politics of our nations.

Women know this pattern: unwanted sexual attention, anger at rejection, fear of retaliation. These allegations against @Scott_Wiener deserve scrutiny. Being gay doesn’t exempt anyone from respecting consent.

(we don't know if its applicable yet, but) maybe this could open up a conversation about how absolutely abusive special ed classrooms can be I've worked in dozens of SPED classrooms, some of the things you will see teachers and aides do are absolutely shocking (or even illegal)
NY Post: Oregon school shooter "tried to enter through the school’s front door but was blocked by two bystanders, including a dad of two little girls at the school...The man opened fire on Griffin with a concealed weapon he was carrying, thwarting the teen’s attempt to go in the front, sources said. Refusing to give up, Griffin ran around to the school’s back door and blew off its lock — which was designed to prevent such tragedies, sources said. He entered the school and headed straight for his former special-needs classroom and opened fire, killing three students, ages 5, 8 and 11, and a teacher, while also injuring a 7-year-old in a wheelchair and a 54-year-old teacher before being gunned down by the gun-toting dad who had spotted him out front." nypost.com/2026/10/16/us-new…

software engineers have forgotten about the other most important scientific problem in the world right now (global climate change and animal population/biosphere collapse) but its chill right guys???? right??????
interpretability might be the most important scientific problem in the world right now, as I don't think we can solve alignment if we don't know what we're building. I think I have good news about it. I co-authored early work in mechanistic interpretability at OpenAI and came away pessimistic, because neural networks appeared to fold into arbitrary tangled knots. years later, I started openai's first large-scale automated interpretability project, finding about 2% of neurons legible with the primitive tools we had with modern agentic tools and a much closer look, the picture looks totally different. the vast majority in models up to trillions of parameters are legible, and their circuits beautiful. many famous examples of tangled neurons turned out to be misunderstood. The roadblocks I expected mostly aren't there. I now think ambitious interpretability will be solved by the time we need it most, and possibly quite soon, as automated scientists keep improving. it may be a bitter lesson for interpretability: the simple thing, at absurd scale, works already-clean.goodfire.com/

"there will be nothing left to do!! I will be obsolete aeeeii!!" bake your neighbors zucchini bread. teach your niece to ride a bike. be a friend to the old lady who lives alone. small things are absolutely necessary and way more important than getting accolades or recognition
that quote about everyone wants to change the world but no one wants to do the dishes
