Answer this. Honestly.
🚨Calling all Texas A&M football fans! 🚨 I put together a brief fan survey and want your feedback on A&M halfway through the season. Would love to get as many answers as possible, so feel free to send it to other Aggies. I’ll reveal the results later! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

Let me be clear. Because I have correctly pointed out that Elko didn’t “blame fans,” in his comments - doesn’t mean I’m giving him a pass. This program is in a tailspin and it’s up to him to fix it.

Coach did not “blame,” fans for anything. That narrative needs to stop now. He has consistently taken sole responsibility for every shortcoming since day one. @TexAgs is amazing. But @billyliucci @DavidNuno @olinbuchanan know the forums can get a little toxic. (cont)

Coach has done nothing but praise our fan base and take responsibility for the struggles. This was poorly timed and poorly executed but most likely not malicious. At least I hope so. Now. Move on. Fix the damn offense and get back on track.

They literally call themselves “the zoo.” It’s a CFB message board. Of course it’s gonna get that way. I may be wrong, but I’m going give him grace on this. I believe he was simply calling out the hyper critical social media echo chamber. (cont)

I’m not blasting Elko here, and we certainly understand the meltdowns on TexAgs can be legendary. But that cesspool raised tens of thousands of dollars for William’s cancer treatment and gave us the ability to pursue every option and opinion that we needed to, and continue to do. Thank you @TexAgs and @billyliucci for building an incredible community, even in the meltdowns. William will always love his Aggies @AggieFootball just keep playing! #BTHOcancer #BTHOcitadel #keepplaying
Texas A&M HC Mike Elko on his message to the fan base at this point in the season: "There's a difference to me between the fan base and social media, and so there's one group that I really don't care much about. Billy's cesspool can go be Billy's cesspool. Our fan base: Stay with us. Be behind us. We're going to build something. That's what we told you we were going to build. We're in a really bad spot right now, but we'll work our way out of it."

Few things. 1) He’s not wrong in that every fanbase as a toxic faction that’s never happy 2) Doubt he meant this as a shot at @billyliucci nor majority of @TexAgs members 3) ZERO reason to bring this up, especially after such poor game I’ll bet he apologizes & clarifies soon

Calm down. @CoachMikeElko wasn’t calling out the fan base. Sort of. I believe Coach sees the fan base as the 100,000+ that show up to Kyle. He’s been overwhelming complimentary of the #12thMan his entire time here. 1/2

I believe he’s calling out the message board warriors at @TexAgs. As we all know, those can get pretty out of control and reactionary. Not a good look, and shouldn’t have gone there. But I think he was singling out a portion of the fan base. Not everyone. @MichaelWBratton

Win games and this doesn’t happen. So go win some games. I would expect some type of clarification on this Monday. @billyliucci and #TexAgs do a great job. Everybody knows that. This is what happens when frustration boils over. And it sucks. But we’re used to it. #Gigem

Exactly two @AggieFootball coaches have multiple wins over ranked @TexasFootball teams. They are Jackie Sherrill (1984 & 1985) and Dennis Franchione (2006 & 2007). Rest in peace Coach Fran.

Glad that all the Texas State grads could see their favorite team run it up in Austin today.

Aggies a lock to finish No. 3 now right?

The only logical explanation for the state of NFL refereeing is corruption. Incompetence isn’t a realistic option because it’s not possible for any group of adults to be THAT incompetent. Corruption is literally the only possibility.

Aggies remain the second best team in the country.

Congrats to all the Longhorn fans.

So…. Kalen DeBoer or Ryan Day?
