It really is this simple. When you let them in you get their baggage too.
Keep the borders open they say. If you do not welcome everyone in to our country then you are racist and a fascist they say. Well, if President Trump would have listened to these people, we would have what Macron created in France today. I am constantly amazed by people’s suicidal empathy and lack of logical thinking. If you let in A LOT of people whose fundamental culture and belief system is incompatible with Western values and they have NO plans to assimilate, a child can predict how all of this plays out over time. What blows my mind in the United States is that soon such people will be able to purchase firearms. Then what happens? Get out and vote Republican this midterms. I say this as an independent voter. This is NOT about red vs blue or Republican vs Democrat. This is about who wants to destroy our nation, either intentionally or through suicidal empathy, versus who wants to preserve and protect our way of life, our values, and our families. I remember. I was in Williamsburg VA and remember seeing this on TV in the hotel.
The Loma Prieta Earthquake hit the San Francisco Bay Area 37 years ago today. I was at work at Serramonte mall in Daly City on October 17, 1989. Where were you?

Yep. Hero.
JUST IN: The man who stopped the school shooting in Bend, Oregon, has been identified as 36-year-old Kalub Giamanco. Giamanco, a carpenter, was reportedly driving home for lunch when he heard gunshots. After hearing the gunshots, Giamanco, who has a concealed carry permit, followed the suspect into the school. He then shot and killed 16-year-old John J Griffin moments after the teen opened fire into a special education classroom. Giamanco, who has two children of his own who attend the school, is family friends with one of the victims, a 7-year-old who uses a wheelchair and was shot in the face. The 7-year-old survived and is in the hospital. Three children at Silver Rail Elementary School were killed. Their ages are 5, 8, and 11. According to Giamanco's brother, Giamanco doesn't feel like a hero because he feels guilty for not being able to save more children. You are a hero, Kalub.

Nineteen years ago this week @algore was chosen to receive the @NobelPrize for making a science fiction movie about climate. At the awards ceremony he predicted an ice-free Arctic by 2014. Since then, Arctic sea ice extent has increased 22%. noaadata.apps.nsidc.org/NOAA… noaadata.apps.nsidc.org/NOAA…

We forgot about Ontological Crystallization. It is good and to be reminded.

Go figure. The price of gas has to do with things other than the price of oil.
We've been seeing a lot of these types of posts over the past few days. So we put this together as an explainer. Now keep in mind that we (US_OGA) are the small companies that produce oil and gas - not the big boys that are fully integrated and produce, transport and run refineries. We don't do that. We just pull it out of the ground and sell it to whoever will buy it. But those other guys are bad at explaining things because they have comms teams that are scared of their own shadows so we have to do if for them sometimes. That won't keep some of you from yelling at us. So be it. But yelling at us is like yelling at a farmer for the price of a box of cereal. But here you go. This might answer some of these questions.

It really is just that simple.
President @realDonaldTrump shares the stark differences between voting for Democrats and voting against them: "The choice in this election is very simple: you can vote for the Radical Left Dumocrat Communists to loot your wealth, raise your taxes by five trillion dollars... send Ohio jobs overseas... or you can defeat the Dumocrats and vote for more money in your pockets... less crime, more Ohio jobs, and no amnesty for illegal aliens."

We caused this. We can fix it, but like a lot of things we won't. We'll continue to complain about it.
Over on FB, I just posted an incredibly insightful graphic comparison showing why gas and diesel don't come down as fast as the price of crude. It isn't what most people think. Total global oil production since 1970 is up 113%. (And U.S. production has nearly tripled since 2008.) Yet the total number of US refineries in 2026 is 130, down from 319 in 1980. During that time, demand for gasoline has increased significantly because our population grew by an additional 100 million people. You can pump all the crude oil you want, but if you can’t convert it into gasoline and diesel, it doesn’t matter, at least not for gas prices. Why did this happen? Because blue states closed refineries to move toward stupid "Net Zero" and "Green New Deal" goals. And Democrat Presidents from Carter to Biden imposed restrictions on refinery construction so draconian that no one could afford to build...if they could even get a permit. But sure, blame Trump, the first President to actually do something about it. Instead, elect the people who TOLD YOU they wanted to "ban fossil fuels" and push the price of gas over $10/gal., and then relentlessly implemented policies to get us as far in that direction as they could.

Mr President please keep fighting for us.

I was not aware of Mr Kummerow research. Mary G. Enig Phd said the same thing. If you've not watched youtu.be/fvKdYUCUca8?si=BSWI… you should.
Fred Kummerow told America in 1957 that the fat in margarine was turning up in the arteries of the dead. The government acted on it in 2015. He was 100. He was a biochemist at the University of Illinois, and what he had done was simple and slightly grim. He got hold of tissue from people who had died of heart disease and looked at what their arteries were made of. They were full of trans fats, a kind of fat that barely exists in nature and came, in 1957, from one place: the hydrogenated vegetable shortening and margarine the country had just been told to eat in place of butter. He published it in Science. He was 43. What followed was a career spent being ignored by experts. The oil industry had friends on every committee. His funding grew thin. In 1968 he talked a panel of the American Heart Association into warning about trans fats, and the warning was pulped and reprinted without it after the shortening makers saw a draft. Kummerow kept working. He kept his laboratory into his nineties. And he kept eating, quite deliberately and in front of journalists, the diet he had been told would kill him. Eggs cooked in butter. Whole milk. Red meat. He had looked inside the arteries himself and he had not found breakfast in there. In 2009, aged 94, he filed a formal petition asking the Food and Drug Administration to ban artificial trans fats. The law gave the agency 180 days to answer. Four years later it had not, so in 2013, at 98, he sued the United States government. Three months after that the FDA announced it agreed with him. The ban was confirmed in 2015. The gap between his paper and the decision was 58 years, which is longer than most of the people who ate the margarine got. He died in 2017, at 102. And he spent those last years on a second warning, which has been received exactly as the first one was. The problem, he said, was never the cholesterol in the egg. It is the vegetable oil in the fryer, heated and reheated until it oxidises, and then eaten. On the record so far, that one is due to be acted upon in about 2070.

We've noticed in the Juniper the front camera nags the last week or so since dot 9. The inside of the windshield has a haze on it that I have to clean regularly. I hope that's not the issue.
Replying to @TeslaSI
@teslasi I am certain that your newer FSD supervised models are being much more picky about my forward facing camera needing to be cleaned. Both my Model Y and @Cybertruck are getting nagged much more. I have now scheduled service to have this cleaned on my Model Y, because apparently v14.3.10 is just as pissed as v14.3.9 was. This needs to be resolved or more information needs to be given to your paying customers. This is NOT a customer cleanable location. I have tried. You end up breaking clips and risking GPS antenna movement and subsequent location issues. This cleaning service needs to be covered under warranty until you change the design so we can do this ourselves.
