Ohio State (6-2) is No. 12 in part because the old farts on the committee didn’t like them giving up explosive plays against USC.
OSU allowed two 40+ yard plays in that game, its first two such plays allowed this season.
Ole Miss (6-2) is ranked No. 10, and has allowed 10 plays of 40+ yards
Ole Miss’ overall explosive play rate allowed vs P4 comp (12.8%) is worse than Ohio State’s (12%).
Ohio State’s best wins (No. 4 Indiana and No. 19 Iowa, both on the road) are better than Ole Miss’s best wins (No. 14 LSU, No. 18 Mizzou, both at home.)
Both teams lost at Texas, Ohio State by 1 and Ole Miss by 7. Ole Miss’ other loss is by 24 points to No. 24 Florida. Ohio State lost by 12 points to No. 20 USC with a freshman quarterback.
Sure.

The development and coaching has to come back to college football. This whole hitting the portal to patch up a recruiting mistake is only going to get you so far.

We needed this medicine. It’s easy to excuse all the BS (penalties and lack of discipline) when you’re winning. Getting your asses kicked forces change…Change is coming.

Buckeyes won 59-3 and if I didn't know better, I'd think they lost. I’m trying to understand what some Ohio State fans actually want from a Ryan Day. Do you judge him on winning? He wins. National championships? Welp, he has one. NFL talent? Turn on the TV today, you'll see them. Developing young men to be great in society? Yup, I mean, listen to how his players talk about him. Has Ryan Day made excellence feel ordinary?
Anyways, I miss all y'all. I never played and I swear that I've raised my standard of living because of the high expectations that you all have. Blessings! #GoBucks

I have seen some very cruel, crude and visceral comments concerning the @OhioStateFB Team. I just don’t get it. The guttural comments are not ok and are simply ridiculous. Ryan Day is a class act and deserves better. This team deserves better.
