If anyone is a sicko and likes pass pro, here I do my best to break down Ohio States 5 man protection. From both their install and All-22 film.

This is sick: #Ravens OC Declan Doyle lined up TE Josh Cuevas at LG, then released him into a route for a 29-yard gain. Because Cuevas was off the line of scrimmage, he was eligible to go downfield. This is brilliant.

Any good Will Stein materials out there? Clinics, YT videos, etc? Good offseason offense to study.

yspace I think there’s a guy on that staff who knows a little about that play.
Pretty cool way that Stein gets to stick. Get the wheel from the backfield, which is a good answer vs man. Back out as the flat route helps widen the force player.

Good morning. When you see a free rusher that's not always on the lineman. Hope you enjoyed my TedTalk.

Ohio State went to 11P 3x1 nub pin/pull. Big fan of trips nub vs a 34 team. Pulls the OLB to trips and makes corners tackle/take on blocks vs run game to the boundary. OL/backs ran it well.

“I think Ohio State is head and shoulders ahead of the next-best Big Ten team.” Rival coaches on how Jeremiah Smith—and QB Julian Sayin—are playing at a ridiculously high level right now: Gift link: nytimes.com/athletic/7675374…

The Delaware Wing-T is not a formation. It is not simply buck sweep or sally or belly. It is a complete SYSTEM. It is a high octane, in your face, make defenders question their life choices, sniper precision, waltz of warfare… and we LOVE IT. Arthur Smith was the best hire of the offseason and it’s not even close. He’s been able to scheme 4 open better than anyone on that staff. The organization of the offense is very evident on film.

Parker has had to throw the kitchen sink at OSU in a way that is uncharacteristic of Iowa and even though that’s generated some negative plays, even that hasn’t really worked.

Passing game is going to carry this team. It’s already showing you how it’s helping the run game.

With Northwestern on the schedule for November, this seems like a great time to point out that one of the Scheme Insiders at @BuckeyeInsiders has the Twitter handle @WingT_Football. Think he might have some interesting insights for that game? Yeah, me too.
The Wing-T is alive and well 👌

The Browns took one of Peyton Manning's favorite concepts and gave it a brand new look. I've seen Colt Y Corner run a ton in the low red but never like this! Interested to see what Monken dials up tonight.

Day needs one of these run concepts to hit for an explosive. Watch his reaction on the sideline 😂

I’m sure I will lose old friends over this post, but I feel I have to say it. On3 Sports is now charging families $499 a year to get a player evaluation, recruiting profile and other supposed benefits through Rivals. Let me be blunt: Don’t waste your money. I was one of the original publishers on the Rivals network. I worked inside that system, evaluated players and helped athletes earn legitimate exposure. I know how the recruiting game works and I know all the games these companies play. No family should have to pay $499 to have someone “evaluate” their son. That is complete bullshit. A paid profile does not make a player a prospect, and paying for an evaluation does not create scholarship offers. There are far better ways to get legitimate exposure: verified film, accurate measurables, direct communication with college coaches, targeted camps and an honest evaluation from someone who actually understands personnel. Spend your money helping your son become a better football player—not purchasing the illusion that exposure comes with a $499 price tag.#footballrecruiting #schsl

A very good look at some of the things that didn't go well for the Ohio State offense on Saturday and why, via our newest scheme insider @WingT_Football. Some all-22 for you. buckeyeinsiders.com/communit…

He’s right. They tried taking shots. Protection issues, and QB shying away from it hurt.
Ryan Day on Ohio State’s offense in the second half: "I would disagree that we weren't pushing ahead and trying to score touchdowns.”
