Credit to the @betintheshed team here for raising awareness on a topic that needs much more attention by @RacingAust as the amount of unspoken criticism and abuse that jockeys are subjected to can be damaging leading to stress anxiety and depression & far deeper outcomesā¦

Shout out to my first ever and very loyal jockey @domjock for bringing up his 1800th winner yesterday #congrats #milestone

Congratulations to Dom Tourneur, who achieved a milestone 1800 wins over the weekend!
He's demonstrated a great deal of resilience as he returned to race riding earlier this year after an injury sidelined him for nearly 12 months, and it is good to see him still riding winners.

Group 1 winning jockey Dom Tourneur is returning to the saddle after a serious back injury sidelined him a year ago.
After surgery, he now feels as good as gold, and he is looking to be riding at the Kangaroo Island Carnival this week.
