*Major Announcement* It’s truly an honor to share that I have officially been inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame! This prestigious honor is a huge deal and I’m looking forward to celebrating with everyone in October at the American Banjo Museum.
Bluegrass often gets told as a story of a few famous names, but its sound was shaped by Black musicians who are too often left out of the history 🪕

The banjo’s story goes deeper than most people realize. We’ve got three more names for you. Each of these musicians played this beloved instrument differently, but each one mattered🪕

Every time someone picks up a banjo, they’re playing an instrument with a rich history running back centuries. Generations of Black men have shaped this music and these are some of the artists that had a hand in doing so. instagram.com/p/DcjmMYTEbYw/…

The Wild West wasn’t what Hollywood made it out to be. After the Civil War, chaos reigned, outlaws ran rampant, and lawmen became legends.
One lawman few remember today, Bass Reeves, used clever disguises and rode a white horse—earning a sterling reputation that inspired the fictional Lone Ranger. Host @domflemons uncovers the real stories behind the myths of the frontier.
