Hard to believe that someone (& their lawyer @troutmanpepper ) thought it was a good idea to use the #UDRP to seize the beds .com domain name. They received an #RDNH finding for their trouble. (@Berryhillj handled the defense). One more example of the routine abuse of the UDRP.

It's not that the attorney who brought this abusive complaint is ignorant of IP law. He's a specialist in IP law (troutman.com/professionals/b…) who was recently recognized for his expertise in IP law (troutman.com/insights/troutm…). It's that there is no downside to abusing the #UDRP.

The perfume-oils .com decision is the second #RDNH decision issued this month against complaints brought by the law firm of NY state assemblyman
@clydevanel. The first RDNH decision was in the dispute his firm brought against iWoman .com.
David Sterrett of Sterrett Law (@sterrettlaw) was found to have brought an abusive #UDRP complaint on zerocoder .com and that it was brought to harass the domain name owner. Sometimes a UDRP Panel offers one justification for finding #RDNH. This Panel offered seven.
