Finished copy of my new novel has arrived. Pub date 14 May. I began it in 2019 but was interrupted by Ian Fleming, since when events in the US have come to mimic the plot.
Why aren't other news organisations unified in refusing to cover the White House until all can cover it? No reporter worth their salt should now go to these briefings.

“Maybe I write because it is a way of thinking that has no possible match. It is a very active way of thinking. You think more clearly when you have to put something down in words. Says an irrelevant oaf whose sole avenue left open to him to claim attention is to write stupid articles.
Boris Johnson thinks that Putin can end the war the same way he started it - by writing "another one of his stupid historical essays" and declaring victory.
However, removing Putin is just one step. Russia's overheated war machine, millions of violent soldiers who will return to Russia and a Russian society pumped up with hatred will not go anywhere on their own.

Nicholas is teasing. People have to read his great book Priscilla to get the rest of this astonishing tale.
People who live in Monaco for tax purposes can end up like my aunt’s best friend Gillian Sutro who died on her own and was discovered days later having been eaten by her starving dog.
This is the country where he became a billionaire , isn’t it? He lives in Monaco. What does he know of this country? What does any billionaire know of normal lives. Tosser!

This is devastating. It’s the belligerent two-dimensionality that depresses. Of a personality without the presence to cast a shadow.
It's always the ones who can most afford to pay tax, and have reason to pay it just like everyone else, who can afford to leave.
Jim Ratcliffe has lost confidence in the world’s 3rd largest innovation economy with two fifths of Europes high growth young companies. Ignorant and ill-informed this tax exile deserves no air time bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm04…

This is more or less the same deal that has been in place in Greenland for eight decades. Any new nuances could have been added without the threats, drama, clumsy covert campaigns and overt attempts to buy influence
From State Dept official background statement on U.S./Greenland/Denmark deal:
•The agreement also explicitly bans any non-NATO base in Greenland and bans adversaries from making investments in Greenland that could threaten the United States.
◦Under the previous status quo, any country, including adversaries, could be allowed to build a military base in Greenland or send troops to Greenland. By contrast, under this agreement no non-NATO country may build a base in Greenland or maintain a troop presence in Greenland.
◦Under this agreement, only the U.S. and our allies can make sensitive investments in Greenland, eliminating the previous status quo in which adversaries have been investing in Greenland’s sensitive sectors without investment screening.
◦This agreement guarantees that China and Russia cannot have a base in Greenland, they cannot send troops to Greenland, and the necessary mechanisms are in place to prevent investment in sensitive sectors.

How can Americans harmonise DT's insistence that Putin is the US's greatest ally abroad – while the US's greatest enemy within are the Communists of the Democratic party?
