So proud of the lovely Dolphins today. We are continuing to write our pirate blogs...today's lesson is 'how to talk like a pirate'. They have come up with some great ideas.
The first donation for our Easter hamper came in today. 😊 We would be grateful for more donations for our brown hamper.
This afternoon we are learning about algorithms using the words clockwise and anti-clockwise. We are programming bee bot on pirate mats.
It's been a busy day today in Dolphins. The children have worked so hard on their big write this morning and have earned their class reward. Tomorrow the children can bring in a small item for show and tell.
Today we have been learning to divide by grouping. We worked practically and drew our own pictorial representations. We used the language : ___ divided into groups of ___ is equal to _____ groups.
Today we have been learning to retell the story, Pattan's Pumpkin by acting it out and creating story maps. In maths we have started learning about division.
We are creating our own artwork based on Henri Rousseau's painting called 'Surprised'. We have painted our background using tinting techniques and are now learning to draw a tiger.
In science, we having been learning about keeping healthy. We carried out a hygiene experiment using bread. Here are our results. The children all said 'yuck' when I showed them the bread that had been passed around with dirty hands.
This afternoon, both year two classes will be having their class reward for working so hard. They have chosen movie and popcorn. @meerkatsclass1
