Finally there’s a DIY method for bridging old smart home gear into Matter!
How to expose any Home Assistant devices as Matter Devices to other controllers (Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Alexa, etc.)
Including DIY devices, Zigbee devices, and anything else not Matter-enabled.

Matter 1.3 is here! It adds a bunch of new device types, including water management devices (leak/freeze sensors, rain sensors, water valves, etc.), EV chargers, microwave ovens, ovens/ranges, cooktops, range hoods, and dryers. Still no security cameras or doorbells, though!
Presence sensors aren’t their own device type in the Matter spec yet, but this is still nice to see!
Finally, a Matter presence sensor! Seems like @merosshome will beat @AqaraSmarthouse in releasing a Matter compatible presence sensor. I'll be keeping an eye out for this one.

At long last there is an open-source project similar to Homebridge for #Matter! It's called Matterbridge and GitHub user Luligu is behind it. You can learn more about the project here: github.com/Luligu/matterbrid…
.@Resideo has received Matter certification for a new T10-M smart thermostat! Like its predecessor the T9, it will work with the company's RedLink room sensors.

Spotted a couple Matter #smarthome devices at Costco! An LG smart TV (only works as a controller) and @WiZConnected smart bulbs. Great to see the Matter logo in the wild!
