In a fitting end to #CoP26 today I was informed by a hairdresser that she'd have to use a special shampoo to get rid of the layer of PLASTIC build-up that was coating my hair.

This is huge climate news: the PM of Bangladesh is calling for developing countries to stop paying debts in order to fund essential adaptation now that the IPCC report has definitively linked extreme weather loss & damage impacts to climate change.
Reading many messages from people worried about climate change saying Govs/companies need to act faster & individuals have no impact. Politicians adapt to gain votes. Companies change if profitability depends on it. Boycott polluters (photo) & vote in active, caring politicians.
Many are scared about the police powers bill, none more than the Gypsy/Roma/Travellers. The Bill criminalises their culture and its contents amounts to a hate crime - this would never be tolerated for any other ethnic or religious group...

Just finished set of nights as senior intensive care registrar. I don't usually do this but wanted to share my #COVID19 experience. Its mad & nothing like anyone has seen before. I've worked on ICU for last year & this wave is worse than 1st with no signs of slowing down. 1/8

It's true - the media isn't reflecting the need for better climate policies. Papers can never be truly independent if they all answer to the same 5 people.
