🚨WATCH: Fairfax County Executive Bryan Hill was stopped by a police officer and pulled the “don’t you know who I am” card.
I obtained the police body worn camera video and emails related to the stop in a FOIA.
On Friday, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis came to the officer’s defense in an email to the Deputy County Executive:
“Per our conversation, please see the below link to the traffic stop this afternoon involving County Executive
Bryan Hill. County Executive Hill called me during and after the traffic stop and relayed the following:
“There’s a lot going on, but if this is what you guys want to do…”
“My front tag is on my dashboard…”
“I don’t mind him doing his job, but he was disrespectful. That’s my issue.”
“He had no idea who I was…”
“If I had a badge, he would’ve let me go.”
As you watch the BWC, you will hear the County Executive say the following to our officer:
“Did you hear who I told you I am?”
I told the County Executive that the requirement to have a front license plate affixed to the front of a car is a
Commonwealth statute, and not a Fairfax County rule. I also told him his allegation the officer was
“disrespectful” is something I will review immediately and take seriously.
I have reviewed the BWC in its entirety. The young officer was 100% professional, cordial, and polite at all times. There will be no internal action taken against the officer whatsoever.
I called the officer on his cell afterwards and told he performed in an exemplary manner consistent with our
expectations and training. In short, he did a great job under a tough circumstance that was not created by him.”
Deputy County Executive Thomas Arnold replied, “My apologies for the behaviors of the County Executive. I will review this tonight and then have a follow-up with him and discuss an apology for both you and the officer. Circle back with you soon.”

I’m sure you have seen the video of the 6 year old who shot the teacher in Newport News.
The woman who is holding him and protecting him is exceptional. While this kid verbally abuses the officers and calls her a bi$ch - she holds him, she protects him. Even after what he did until the police finally escort the child away.
This is a tragic situation but the compassion this woman exhibited to this child is worth public accolade.
She was calm. The child was calm with her and followed her directions. She was so brave.
It’s easy to criticize public schools. But when you see someone like this keeping the officers calm, the child calm and herself calm all while providing helpful information - quite frankly - she deserves a medal.
Whoever you are - thank you for being an exceptional human being on such a tragic day.

#SouthSudan's children should not have to be this resilient. Every cut to #funding means fewer people watching out for them when it matters most.
They deserve more than survival. They deserve a full #life.

I moved our entire Sales department to the other side of the building because one guy talks too loudly.
Facilities asked IT to help with a seating-plan migration after we added thirty-two desks.
They sent me a spreadsheet with everyone’s department, manager, and preferred neighborhood.
I added one more column.
NETWORK DEPENDENCY.
Then I marked Engineering and IT as requiring proximity to the server room.
This was mostly true.
I marked Sales as location-independent.
Also true.
The seating software pushed all 41 salespeople to the far end of the floor.
Their VP complained because his team used to sit next to us.
I showed him the optimization report.
He asked what “dependency weighting” meant.
I said it reduced unnecessary cross-floor traffic.
He accepted this.
The loud guy now sits 186 feet away.
Facilities called the move a success because collaboration scores improved.
Mine definitely did.
