Given the critical nature of the patient, they elected to transport to the hospital while continuing to provide treatment in the ambulance. Although the patient remained seriously ill, they arrived at the hospital without further incident. Great job!

The crew attempted to rapidly treat the patient’s heart rate with medication and through the use of pacer pads; however, the patient did not respond to these treatments.

During that short time, they obtained an ECG, activated the cath lab, treated the patient’s respiratory distress, administered aspirin, and started an IV. This exemplifies incredible team work and coordination.
