Helen Haines’ friend Serena has spoken out, saying she hopes this attack is a turning point, & that we can all be more like Helen, by rejecting the “hatred” derived from “Trumpian” politics & being kind to people of all backgrounds.💥👏 #auspol

If this is accurate, Elon lied about not having control over Starshield, and he lied about the administration making the decision.
More importantly, why is a private citizen even *able* to make decisions that could hinder US military operations?
Incredible scoop by my @WSJ colleagues: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, a decision that sparked panic in Kyiv and confusion inside the Trump administration. wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli…

A lot of people jumping to conclusions about Helen Haines attacker based on very little, so let's start with what we know and leave it there for now.

#Paulinehanson once again showing her "superficial caring" because she's realised how serious things that she's said are being taken, & could lose her votes! She offers a gesture of concern without any "genuine emotional depth"! #Hanson #PutOneNationLast #HansonIsAFraud

Helen Haines has most likely lost both legs, and potentially her life. People trying to score political points out of this are outright cunts. They should all be blocked. #auspol

Pauline Hanson has today insisted she was “not aware of the content” of her vile cartoon—but watch her yesterday tell Jacqui Lambie to ‘get over it’ and ‘have a laugh’ about ‘women suffering from this thing’🙄
No bigger liar or hypocrite than Hanson. #auspol

Hanson only apologised when she saw the extent of community anger at her whole disgusting & vile persona. She does not mean it, she does not care who she hurts. Where are the parliamentary standards @AlboMP

All our thoughts are with @helenhainesindi and her family today, in the aftermath of what looks like a deliberate and violent attack.
While it’s too soon to know what happened or why, it seems clear to MFW that the way most media in this country have so staunchly promoted, defended or at the very least ignored the despicable ongoing violence and hate applauded or committed by Donald Trump’s goons and followers; the instigators of genocide and war; and the disgusting behaviour of other far-right individuals and entities in recent years must be at least partly responsible for a recent increase in more overt terror-driven and political violence.
We beg the Australian media to think more deeply about their refusal to condemn violent politicians and governments and other fascistic deadshits everywhere. If they refuse to, they’re complicit in the rising future threat to many people via their despicable and cowardly silence.
We’re so sorry, Helen.

Has the Australian mainstream media reflected at all on their role in this?
Someone should write a piece on the numerous times radio shock jocks and breakfast tv and late night commentators have promoted violence against politicians or public figures. #auspol #media #HelenHaines

It feels like that moment before the tsunami in 2004. The ocean drew back. People marveled at miles of beach that suddenly emerged, not realising a wall of water would come crashing over them. A towering wall of AI stupidity is about to inundate us.
