Sensitive documents should NOT need a trip to the cloud. Run DocDot locally, keep your files private, and send clean output to agents.

One thing I really like is the local-first approach. Testing different PDF parsers usually means switching between tools or APIs. Having multiple options in one place and comparing their outputs side by side makes it much easier to pick the right parser for your workflow. If you're building AI agents or document automation, this is definitely worth checking out. Congrats on the Product Hunt launch! 🚀

We benchmarked every major open source parser on M5 Apple Silicon across 4,000+ real document pages. Our in-house engine, NanoDoc, runs directly on the Apple Neural Engine instead of overloading the GPU: • 9.25 FPS throughput on standard PDFs • Under 1.8 GB RAM footprint • Top scores in Overall Quality (83.66) and Table TEDS (83.19) While heavy open-source models consume 11–14 GB of RAM at under 0.5 FPS, NanoDoc delivers high precision at multi-FPS speeds.
