My husband & toddler are gone for the weekend. I do not have to work. It’s been a stressful week.
Today, I have done the bare minimum: I have fed, watered & walked myself & the dog. That is it.

The NUMBER ONE cause of physician burnout is spending too much time on below-grade tasks.
Average doc spends 4 hours a day charting. I made a guide to cut that helps docs cut that in half. Here it is:
I just submitted a comment to help get new parents and their babies better access to healthy food, will you join me? act.parentstogetheraction.or…
I spent a good chunk of my morning reviewing the complex gustatory pathway in preparation for a parageusia referral.
Even after reading a very good review article, I still feel just as prepared as when I initially saw the referral. 🫠
PSA: Driving slow is just as dangerous as driving too fast.
Why does it feel like 50% of drivers on I-5 do not understand the basic principles of highway driving?
Toddler life: Hates to wear mittens when she actually needs to wear them, yet requests (more like demands) to wear them while she naps.
2022: The year I became a full-time working physician mom, learning that breastfeeding a baby as a working mother is one of the hardest things we ask women to do. Looking forward to more sleep in 2023 😏😁.
Recently, our toddler can’t decide if she needs 1 or 2 naps so has recently decided to rely on a single 1-1.5 hour nap. I’m sure all you parents out there know how well this has been going…
Prepping charts for clinic. Referral is 19 pages total. 2 of those 19 pages (15-17) have any clinical information useful to me. This is only one reason why physicians are going mad.
On Friday evenings, after a full day of clinic chaos, I fill up my car with gas & treat myself to a gas station bag of Munchies. It’s the little things.
Epic InBasket upgraded & I *hate* it. Can we go back to the super simple previous InBasket? There are too many boxes/colors/gadgets. It feels clunky, distracting & overwhelming. Ugh.
Well, smoke season is gone and was quickly replaced with people-don’t-know-how-to-drive-in-the-rain season. 🙄
