Weโre introducing the POWER Act to give workers, tenants, consumers, small businesses and nonprofits a legal pathway to take on unfair and deceptive business practices.
A tenant shouldnโt have to watch a landlord wrongfully withhold their security deposit. A consumer shouldnโt have to accept predatory loan terms. And New Yorkers shouldnโt have to rely on government alone to hold powerful corporations accountable.
