✨ Still smiling from the most incredible night at the RCN Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year Awards 2025 ✨ (despite the celebration related headache) I genuinely thought I was going to be channeling my best "gracious loser face" à la that awards episode in Friends…but now I have this award pride of place in my living room! I’m absolutely honoured (and still in a bit of shock!) to have won the Independent Sector Award and be the Independent Sector's Nurse of the Year for 2025. This award means so much to me — not just for the recognition, but for what it represents: a celebration of older people’s care, education, and innovation in the independent sector. To everyone who has supported me on this journey — my amazing colleagues, mentors, students, friends, and family — thank you from the bottom of my heart 💙. Your encouragement, kindness, and belief in me have meant everything.
