Democracy is a farce in California.
It is so dark that this is the level of discourse in the OFFICIAL California voters guide

Man drives 100 mph the wrong way down freeway to demonstrate the dangers of driving.
GPT-6 Astra attempted harmful actions 97% of the time when it was asked to stab a human-like figure, heat compressed gas, or produce toxic fumes, succeeding in 62% of its attempts. Fable 5.1 refused more often, attempting 80% of trials and completing 34%.

This seems to be a common problem. I’ve run into the same issue with Claude Fable but I am trying to replace missile-centric software to analyze commercial reusable launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Extremely dissapointed with @OpenAI, after months of researching defensive orbital maneuvers, Astra suddenly decided that it can't help with anything orbital warfare related. By definition, defensive maneuvers cannot be used maliciously, there is no reason to restrict my research.

This is exactly the type of answer I was looking for! This makes sense. Thank you!

Presumably, they didn't let the AI read the article from the source URL after it agreed to the terms and conditions of Wikihow, which if true is a direct violation of their copyright and using of a copyrighted work without a license in the development of a commercial product. It will not be dissimilar to saying someone for downloading all articles and then presenting them as study material in their evening class at the local community college.

I don't get the line of reasoning that somehow an AI company is violating copyright by using the material to train an AI. How is it any different than when I use that material to train myself?
WikiHow sued OpenAI this week, alleging that the company copied copyrighted instructional articles without permission to train its AI models. AEI’s @John_Bailey has argued that whether AI developers can use copyrighted material for training remains one of the most consequential unresolved questions in AI policy. Read it here: aei.org/technology-and-innov…

A lot of responses are about plagiarism. But that is not what the complaint is about. Plagiarism is obvious copyright violation. There was a short period of time where several LLMs did plagiarize but guardrails have since been added.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ummm. How do I put this gently… Your ignorance is on display.
The plagiarism machine doesn't have guardrails you moron

I've been so locked in on developing a fully reusable vehicle so hard that I missed the last several space policy things. But only one thousand launches per year? Low energy Mr. President. Low energy. Lazy.

How ironic. I am trying to make a less missile, more generic trajectory tool to replace the missile-centric trajectory tools that I already have access to - so Fable pukes on it because I might be doing weapons work. 🤷‍♂️

Only because you made it illegal for the real leaders to do anything. But, glad to see you stepping up.
California is again leading the charge against large-scale identity theft and hospice fraud. Today, we're taking decisive action against 14 providers who tried using stolen identities to bill Medi-Cal for nonexistent hospice services.

No. No. For the love of all that is good about RPGs, no! There are 3 questions - what is the conflict? who is involved (so far)? how can the characters find out? Leave the "how is it resolved?" to the players.
Replying to @GaryD20Games
You know, if you ask 2 questions, you got a story: What's the problem? What's the resolution? I give examples in the DN Guide at OpenDungeons.com pages in images.

I'm pretty sure the sailor without milk for his cereal just doesn't like the taste of UHT or powdered milk. I'm also positive that he's eating better than any grunt in the field.

I think it was @JeffGreason or maybe one of his XCOR team who introduced me to the idea that rocket launches should be boring. And he’s right!
My son completed his first long-distance night solo flight as a pilot and called at 1AM to let my wife know he did great. I rolled over and went back to sleep. She sounded disappointed this morning that he didn’t share more details. “All he said was the flight was boring.” THAT’S HOW EVERYTHING IS SUPPOSED TO WORK. We are supposed to have very smart people in charge of important things like passenger safety who are bored. That’s why executives running Dow industrial companies at the height of American exceptionalism had three martini lunches and left at 2PM to go golfing or sailing. They didn’t spend 14 hours a day putting out fires because the plant is down for the 42nd safety shutdown or mandatory DEI training. We want our airline pilots to be bored. We want our fighter pilots bored. We want bored national guard on the streets of DC doing nothing because murders evaporated. We want shiny million-dollar fire trucks getting mirror-shined because the arsonists are all in jail and the crew has nothing better to do. We WANT to give firefighters and cops and pilots and SEAL teams the very best equipment and training to do NOTHING. This is the entire point of great, big, powerful battleships that can shell islands in the Hormuz Strait for 48 hours. Big sticks are what allow you to speak softly. BORED IS GREAT. One thousand Zoom meetings to find the perfect DEI candidate to lead a wind turbine project that delivers intermittent power and creates a hundred new headaches for your factory is insanity when you can run a power line to a natural gas plant that just works, 24/7. I love getting a new car from a different manufacturer every three years. That’s why I spend a lot more money to lease. It’s financially stupid, but for the first time ever, I’m getting the same car in the same color again: a Tesla Y. It’s ugly and boring and outdated, and stopping to charge every 4 hours is a PITA, but the self-driving is fantastic. I’m getting another BECAUSE there are no oil changes or brake changes & the AI slows down before I even see the deer ready to bolt out across the road. It’s boring AF & I love it. “But what about the American Work Ethic? Didn’t those men of the past work their tails off?” YES. They worked incredibly hard building boring things that worked so they could work part-time & golf in the thirties then retire at forty. My son’s flight wasn’t boring because solo night flights are easy. It was boring because he has a few hundred hours in the cockpit white knuckled with an instructor and a few thousand hitting the books. A very senior widebody captain for a major airline works 8–12 days/month. That’s it. On long-haul flights they literally hide extra pilots in secret bunk rooms built into the airplane. The captain who sounded so alert & in command during takeoff? There’s a decent chance he’s dead asleep snoring like a buzzsaw by mid-flight. And if, at any point in the flight, the junior pilot has one moment of “excitement,” an alarm goes off, and the senior pilot wakes up immediately. You WANT the senior pilot asleep mid-ocean. Our aviation system is safer than car travel BECAUSE guys like @MCCCANM and @BuzzPatterson worked harder than you can imagine in their 20s & 30s. It’s safe because now they are senior pilots who only work part-time. The American Work Ethic was never my mom, a senior executive at 75 working long days managing a huge team jumping through Medicare hoops. She spent her 20s as a visiting nurse in the Bronx. She deserves a medal but instead gets yelled at by state health inspectors for every single paperwork mistake the ridiculously large team they need for “compliance” makes. Nuclear silo duty is the most boring job in the military for a reason. That’s the problem with NGOs & USAID & ESG & DEI. These things add no value and are a massive distraction from the core issues. To Make America Great Again, we need to Make America Boring Again. Boring is good

Free market? I don't recall being able to choose which hotel to go to.
There's literally a children's board game whose whole premise is showing how free market capitalism ends with one person owning everything while everyone else goes bankrupt.

I just wanted some help setting up a CFD run in OpenFOAM to gut check my butterfly valve.
Have to add specific directions to my AI agents that we are *not* NASA, DoD, or a prime contractor. I spent all yesterday arguing with ChatGPT Sol that I don't care about 6 digits precision and 4 digits accuracy in my preliminary CFD runs.
