CL - Chelsea 1 Man City 0 - Goodnight!

Because a vast majority of the coverage and discourse around English football is catered to those three clubs.

Sounds familiar youtu.be/ZlULn4qkH2c?is=6YBp…

What a better team we are without Sanchez, Fofana and Gusto. And as much as it pains me to say it, we’re better without Reece right now, both as a midfielder and as a leader. He’d still start at RCB for me but the club don’t want to play him there.

Seeing a zero next to the opposition’s name…

That’s the kind of win we used to get at Bolton, Blackburn, Stoke et al back in the day. It was a mature performance away from home against a shithouse bogey team who were unbeaten. Feels a big step.

That was bloody brilliant. That was Chelsea. That’s what I want to see.

We have to expect teams like Everton will try and beat us by bullying us. So far we’ve stood up to it well but got to keep our heads.

Newcastle decided to go down the Blueco route of signing potential. Tonight, they’re getting pumped 4-1 by a promoted side that’s had 35% of the ball and beaten them with direct counter-attacking. The keeper and CF rabbits in the headlights. All feels very familiar.

“It’s a sad sad day here at Anfield, where the establishment who have an entitled right to success have been humbled by a club that should never dare of having the audacity to try and compete with them. “Full time here, Good 0-3 Evil.”

The Sky commentary’s attempts to bring everything back to the narrative of good vs evil is boring and pathetic. Stick this result up your wrong’uns.

Babies have been conceived and born since we last kept a PL clean sheet. Let that sink in. #Blueco

Some player thoughts: Henderson - Starts for me even when everyone is fit. A calmer head. Chavarria - Like him. Acheampong - Just don’t see more than a squad player. Better than Fofana and Gusto but that’s a low bar. Palestra - Struggled when he came on.
