Official financial disclosures lodged with the Australian Electoral Commission expose how $600,000 was funneled from First Australians Capital, a tax deductible Indigenous charity reliant on public money for 72% of its revenue in 2024/25, straight into political activist group GetUp.
GetUp publicly claims it never accepts government funding, yet AEC filings confirm a single $500,000 payout from the charity covered 58% of GetUp's itemised Voice referendum donor funds, making it the largest contributor to its campaign.
FAC handed over another $100,000 in 2024/25, which GetUp logged as "other receipts" rather than a political donation.
Less than nine months after that $500,000 payout, Queensland Labor awarded the charity a $1.5 million grant, an arrangement the LNP government has kept active.

Just weeks before crying crocodile tears on national TV and pleading to “lower the temperature in politics” Anthony Albanese's office was secretly shopping around a venomous, completely baseless 'dirt sheet’ to mainstream journalists to completely destroy Independent MP Helen Haines.
After Helen Haines rightfully exposed a sketchy $6M federal grant to a golf club in Albo's own backyard as "pork barrelling by design," the PM’s staff launched a vicious counter strike.
Top tier journalists were handed a scandalous brief baselessly accusing Haines of conflicts of interest over local community funding in her seat.
They wanted her politically liquidated.
Fast forward to the horrific vehicle attack outside Haines' office. Suddenly, Albo pivots. He takes to the ABC 7.30 cameras, choking up, calling her a "human being full of integrity."
Behind closed doors, the PM’s office operates a ruthless, mud slinging operation against the very crossbenchers they praise in public.
Is this the "kinder, gentler politics" we were promised?

BREAKING: THE BIGGEST CLIMATE SCANDAL IN AUSTRALIAN HISTORY
The Bureau of Meteorology’s “raw” climate data is not raw. A forensic audit by investigator Tom Berger and retired scientist Geoff Sherrington has found copied and corrupted readings inside the official record, and the Bureau has now admitted errors.
Exhibit A is the Sydney Observatory. Every minimum temperature for August 1867 in the digital record is an exact copy of August 1907. All 31 days, identical to a tenth of a degree. The original handwritten ledgers held by the National Archives show two different months. The real 1867 readings were simply overwritten.
This is the record that underpins Net Zero, and almost nobody has checked it against the paper. Dr Jennifer Marohasy says Adelaide is the only place in Australia where the historical temperatures have had a proper audit. Dr David Evans, who built the federal government’s carbon accounting model, likens the Bureau’s “trust us” culture to the worst days of rigged drug trials, where the pressure to deliver the expected result decided the result.
If a whole month of Sydney’s history can be a carbon copy of another year and sit there for decades, what else is buried in the record? Every model, projection and policy built on that history inherits the errors.
The Albanese Government is driving up power bills, gutting reliable generation and forcing Net Zero on ordinary Australians on the authority of this data. It has not ordered an independent audit of it.
The question is simple. If the records are sound, why won’t Labor order an independent audit?
