My vote for most valuable programming skill? Walking. I spent 15 minutes going and picking up my laundry and figured out how to avoid 10 hours of programming. 40:1!

Software Craftsmanship is not about glory and rockstar status. It’s not about being the overtime hero, or the last minute cowboy. Rather it is about discipline, professionalism, and the desire to constantly improve.

We met a lot of awesome people who work at Shopify and make commerce better for everyone. It‘s been a pleasure to chat with them and get to know each other, particularly with our amazing Partner Manager Amanda. 🙂#ShopifyUnite #ShopifyUnite2018 #Shopify #ASoft

I'm excited for parallel testing to land in Rails. We have custom code to do this at GitHub, but pushing it upstream seems best for everyone. Great job @eileencodes!! github.com/rails/rails/pull/…

I've just committed the initial JIT compiler for Ruby. It's not still so fast yet (especially it's performing badly with Rails for now), but we have much time to improve it until Ruby 2.6 (or 3.0) release. github.com/ruby/ruby/commit/…

mjit_compile.c: merge initial JIT compiler · ruby/ruby@ed935aa

which has been developed by Takashi Kokubun as YARV-MJIT. Many of its bugs are fixed by wanabe . This JIT compiler is designed t...

BadUSB Cable #2. HID attack through an Apple MacBook USB-C charger. Great for shared workspaces! Build info coming this month. Still working out some things. These cables work on just about any device with a USB port (Mac/Win/Linux, phones too)
