Thanks to all of my followers, including the deniers as I just passed an amazing milestone (150 K) for an 80 y/o lipidologist who solely posts lipid and CV (including women's info) educational related materials, but who also interacts with questioners. The background photo on my "X" profile is a lipid macromolecule that @lipiddoc and I formulated and had built ~2012 - The were distributed at the @nationallipid meeting in Arizona - they are now hard to find. @ASPCardio @society_eas @escardio @atherosociety @TheEndoSociety @FamilyHeartFdn @fhpatienteurope @MenopauseOrg

Important data from Ethan et al
In general, if an HCM patient does not feel the transition from NSR to AF, this warrants consideration of why, which includes even reassessment of the diagnosis, especially for new onset AF. As shown here almost 90% are symptomatic.
Similar experience as well with the rate of recurrence and failure of rhythm control strategies
Atrial fibrillation recurrence rates in HCM. High rates of recurrence across multiple rhythm control treatment pathways highlighting need for HCM specific AF treatments/ study.

Congratulations to our Chief Scientific Officer, @JohnKastelein, for being awarded the @FamilyHeartFdn's Pioneer Award! We celebrated this achievement last weekend by reflecting on his decades of contributions to lipid science and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) prevention.
Strong leaders do more than advance a field. They inspire the people around them to think differently, challenge assumptions and pursue new possibilities. We are grateful for the example Prof. Kastelein sets for our team and the next generation of leaders helping to shape the future of lipid management.

Salah Tsarni over Mario Carini 10-5 OT.
Very close match, each got a takedown in regulation, then Tsarni gets a takedown, some swipes, and almost the fall in OT.
