Even before meeting him on the first Obama campaign, I've admired Joe Biden. What he has endured to continue to serve not only this country, but also our highest ideals, is staggering. Yesterday’s decision is just the latest in a half century of putting the American people above any personal ambition. It is such an exceedingly rare quality in a leader.
The opportunity to work for him in this capacity has been a thrill and an honor. He remains a man of integrity, humanity, sound judgement, and strength. Putting the country first and leading with humility will be his enduring legacy — in addition to the incredible accomplishments left in his wake.
I could not be more proud of what we’ve built in this campaign, including the 1,300 staff in battlegrounds and the nearly 300 offices, the tens of thousand of events, and the millions of voter contacts this summer.
And while yesterday was sad and bittersweet, I’m also FIRED UP to make sure that this first class political team will Finish The Job with our incredible Vice President, Kamala Harris. She has been on fire on the trail all year and she is ready.
LFG!

If @megynkelly had a shred of integrity, she would issue a heartfelt apology to @amyactonoh and beg for forgiveness. Then she would denounce the utterly vile actions of @VivekGRamaswamy and ask him to drop out immediately.
Acton and her brother (as pre teens!) were abandoned by their mother after physical and sexual abuse from their step father. All of the is documented in court records - it’s not a matter of debate.
Been there!

This is sick stuff. Amy Acton's enemies are trotting out her estranged and allegedly abusive mother to malign her.
If anything, I feel more sympathetic to Amy Acton after watching this. I suspect I'm not alone!
BOMBSHELL: Amy Acton’s own MOTHER just dropped a devastating ad warning Ohio NOT to elect her daughter.
She calls Amy a habitual liar who “needs help” and is totally unfit for governor.
When your own mother begs voters to stay away, it’s OVER.
Must watch! 👇

Acton’s stepfather abused her from age 9 to 12 and was criminally charged, and the family lived in a tent in winter. Her brother confirms they were removed from their mother’s custody. Acton’s stayed married to the stepfather until he died.

The split screen of Democratic ads like this and the El-Sayed faith spot compared to Vivek’s ugly gambit in Ohio is really telling.
#KSSen: The DSCC and Adam Hamilton campaign are up on TV with this spot --
Hamilton to camera:
"150 years ago my family helped build a town called Hope in Kansas where people worked together during tough times"
"I'm Adam Hamilton. I've spent my life listening, caring and bringing people together. Roger Marshall stopped listening and caring long ago"

#Badgers football: Got to watch UW at UCLA from start to finish. Thought UCLA, coming off a game at Oregon and going with its No. 2 QB, was better prepared from the start than UW, which had an extra week to prepare. That was striking.
That decision to punt was it for me and Fickell. If you want to try to win you go. If you want to make it look competitive for your contract you punt.
We have to move on.
Really really wanted to believe but this staff cannot do to. Clean house. @UWBadgers @BadgerFootball
Kids are playing hard - that’s a credit. But the weak plans and decisions by the guys making millions need accountability.
Ok I’m back to fire everyone. These decisions are pretty hard to comprehend.
I’ll be back when we have new staff.
Was having a similar conversation today. The map is big and strange, and we are mostly playing on R turf.
But for that reason and because of the structural/map advantages for Rs, all the potential majority making races are on an absolute knife’s edge.
If partisan gravity takes over for undecideds, it doesn’t even take a minor polling error to come up short.
Which isn’t to say we shouldn’t be bullish and aggressive. But it is to say we shouldn’t be cocky or assume anything.
We have to drive these races home.

Kind of striking how persistent the decline in Trump's approval rating has been. There's been mean reversion around news events and economic data, but to a declining rather than steady baseline as in the 1st term.
I think it’s pretty undeniable that 2018 is a safe benchmark/expectation for Dem performance broadly — the big question that will determine whether it’s a true bloodbath is whether this year is inversely correlated to 2010 …
*If* Rs are depressed and really stay home (as Ds did that year)… get ready to be introduced to a bunch of new members of congress absolutely nobody is tracking right now.

Top Democrats are rushing cash to Gina Hinojosa, the Democratic nominee for governor of Texas, as some in the party begin to believe she could pull off an improbable upset.
Gov. JB Pritzker of Illinois and the Democratic Governors Association are each sending $1 million to support her bid, Mr. Pritzker and a top D.G.A. official said on Tuesday. The money could be significant for her: She had just $4 million or so on hand at the end of last month, according to Texas campaign finance

I’m watching the Jackson-Collins debate (yes on YouTube from my couch in California, I’m a sicko) and Jackson is objectively dominating. Consistent jabs on Collins closeness to Trump and corruption, and the occasional haymaker on the Kavanaugh vote that lands every time.

@WhatleyNC - you were appointed Hurricane Czar by @realDonaldTrump. I was there! You have failed! I was NC11 GOP chair & you didn’t even call to check on safety of the GOP leaders here! No $! No help to GOTV! Nothing! Except your 1 yr anniversary fundraiser!
@The_Cory
Roy Cooper was such a failure at hurricane recovery that his protégé Josh Stein dismantled Cooper’s entire disaster recovery program during his first week in office.
Not only did Cooper fail WNC during Hurricane Helene, he failed Eastern North Carolina during hurricanes Florence and Matthew.
Roy Cooper is a disgrace.
