The #FTC is seeking comment on a policy targeting personalized pricing without “clear and conspicuous” disclosures, but a subjective “consumer expectations” framework could chill pricing innovation and competition.

In case you missed it, in a new @AAF daily dish, @djheakin calls for "cooler heads to prevail" and the administration to say no to an diesel export ban.
New @AAF analysis:
A diesel export ban is a bad policy idea!
-U.S. diesel prices are driven by global supply and demand.
-America is a surplus diesel producer, with 5.3 million b/d in production, exceeding 3.6 million b/d in total demand.
-U.S. refining capacity concentrated in the Gulf Coast, other regions, e.g. New England, do not have easy access to domestic supply due to infrastructure and logistics constraints; they have to import some diesel.
-A sustained export ban would force refiners to cut production, which means higher prices in gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel.
-It would exacerbate the global energy shock, further driving up global diesel prices. Latin America and Europe will be hit especially hard.
✅Rather than an export ban, policymakers should ease winter supply frictions by extending the Jones Act waiver and removing burdensome preclearance rules.

From @WSJopinion: Republicans are watching the polls with increasing dismay. Alas, their response is to compound the disarray with policy mistakes—like calling for a ban on diesel-fuel exports.

Full of depressing facts and accurate analyses of the latest bad ideas. I love it!
(Not So) Fun Fact: Since the beginning of the conflict with Iran, higher energy prices in the United States have cost U.S. businesses and consumers an additional $108 billion – more than $800 per household. #TheShipment

I liked the world better when the news came on for 30 minutes and then we did other shit for 23 1/2 hours. Now the news follows you around all day like a hobo begging for change.
Can’t be a real holiday. I’ve never seen a Hallmark Constitution Day card.
