And now they are running radio and TV ads saying they are spending more than ever. Can we report that to the @CRTCfra ?
Hey @krushowy @ColinDMello @TinaYazdani - this graph should be front page news, going into back-to-school season! People deserve facts, not spin. #onted #onpoli policyalternatives.ca/news-r…

It is amazing how much work it is to wrestle these agents to my will. Don't get me wrong, it's crazy productive. But it's also a lot of hard, focussed work. All my software engineering and problem solving skills are brought into play -- even though I barely look at the code.

Going to try something a bit different - introducing /r/moderndotnet , a totally bare bones subreddit aimed around talking about .NET while not having ridiculous rules and being assholes about it. Please join and help us jumpstart
Guy submits a post about building Magic the Gathering in C# - it gets some votes on /r/programming He cross-posts it to /r/dotnet It gets downvoted to zero and here's the top comments Good lord this subreddit is getting agreeableness-mogged by /r/programming lol

Not since the earliest days of discovering Ruby have I been this excited to jump out of bed and get in front of the keyboard. A million ideas, all bouncing around in my head, just waiting to be prompted. What a time to be alive!

Fable one-shotted a Rust rewrite of the TerminalTextEffects Python library in 11M tokens. Startup time went from 87ms to 2ms and rendering speed is up by 9.6x. Now zero dependencies and a 3mb single exec 🤯 claude.ai/code/artifact/2878…

I am pleased to announce day 1 support for Anthropic Fable 5 in Netclaw, because we aren't absolute clowns and source our model catalogs directly from their upstream providers so this is literally never a problem with our platform. Please, pretend it's a huge accomplishment and give us lots of likes and retweets.

The House voted today on a new measure to fuse elements of the Israeli and US militaries, particularly on the cyberweapons front. Section 224, as its known, is included in the National Defense Authorization Act. Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., introduced an amendment to strip it from the bill. Watch as a stream of Republicans and Democrats stand up in support of the enhanced cooperation. Only Rep. Sarah Jacobs (D-Calif.) joined Khanna, and the measure failed in a voice vote. Watch:

Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up. People are angry for a reason. Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust. The Greenbelt scandal.
The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal.
The Science Centre fiasco.
The private jet controversy.
The RCMP investigation. And now attacks on transparency itself. This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy. Meanwhile: 🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens.
📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded.
🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes.
💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty.
👩‍⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored.
🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment. Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals. Enough is enough. Sign the petition. Share it everywhere. Let Ontario be heard. c.org/PQNsYK4xj9

NEW: Carmine Nigro's company sought half a billion dollars in compensation for the expropriation of air rights it didn't actually own. MX and the government won't say how much it got in the settlement.

I do not appreciate anyone - Democrat or Republican - taking this moment to make TACO jokes to say Trump “chickened out.” The president was threatening genocide against 90 million Iranians. I’m grateful there’s a ceasefire & scores of innocent people didn’t die tonight.

Today I wish Ontario hadn't wasted: -$2.2 billion on an Austrian spa -$1 billion on an unneeded Science Centre -$1.4 billion on early alcohol sales everywhere -$3.2 billion on election bribe cheques Every billion mattered. thestar.com/politics/provinc…

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 My office just uncovered that, buried in their Fall Economic Statement, Ford’s Conservatives are quietly seizing control of Exhibition Place. They’re bringing the land under the Rebuilding Ontario Place Act—legislation that lets the Premier override provincial and municipal laws, including heritage protections, environmental safeguards, and even labour laws. This scandal-ridden government cannot be trusted with more public land. RT if you agree. #ONpoli

I heard that… Some people say that… I saw someone write that… There is a lot of inaccurate information circulating about elections; for example, about non-citizens voting, ballot boxes not being secured or pencils being used to change votes. (1/2)
