It's hard to put it into words how I feel about sharks. How do I describe that knot in the stomach when I descend and check who's present or not? How do I describe that sense of relief when their shape emerges from the blue as they swim towards me, the familiar look?

There is no definition for how I feel about sharks, but there are the actions of the last thirty years dedicated to these creatures, my desire to be with them as much as I can, my work to promote their understanding and their protection. Some call it love.
