Most people starting in DTC start all with desire, wich is great we need to know how to capture it. But the best brands have super solid belief assets. Like HexClad, many people believe in Gordon Ramsay; IM8 has Beckham. But it does not need to be an influencer. Sometimes the most raw, authentic content can be a robust belief mechanism. Let's say a super organic mini vlog style showing a lady starting a weight loss program. Months later, she shows, with her super authentic aura and personality a little progress. At the end, she has lost significant weight but still has some loose skin. It is so raw and authentic. Most people will instantly believe in the product. And it does not even need such super raw content, but I think we need to keep reminding ourselves: desire is not enough when it is not believed to be achievable with your solution. Desire is indeed that strong affective pull; belief is the mental consolidation of conviction.
When you drive an AI bot with robust persistence due to not having any fatigue or affect. And it ends up in wishful ideals. You know for certain the gap is 100% closed. There is no room for openings in other interpretations. AI policy researchers basically are industry protectors

Yeah indeed the mental frame switching is indeed more interesting and deeper and striking, because It could indicate machine psyche, even without all phenomenology, but as you see still fails for that.
But for the affect I do think it is as important as no hormones no affect. But not for the reasons you think.
Think deeper and discerning I was actually always pointing towards this level.
Because for us even besides behavior we can indicate background processing right, many layers for the affect state

To indicate we have a solid argument for organisms, because the processes are SEPERATE from the behavioral expression, and often more persistent, if people try to hide.
There is no such thing as an LLM hiding, while presenting something else you can pinpoint to, on no level. I think we tackled even 4 levels.
So it was not about having the exact, but having equivalance.
And then you come with pure behavioral level adaptations as a shallow indicator

It does behavioral change in processing in a different syntax format, like math
And it can even form similar pathways as the emotional
You can probe a diffusion model that does not produce text, and it can process in similar pathways
As your emotional adaptive processing as the control
But if there is no substantial pattern of concistency indicating, it does more than what it is build for neural net context based adaptive processing
Then even that completely falls out
Because then you end up literally in the woo woo
Because for us we have a clear background homeostatic and other layers of processes we can indicate, wich will be robustly replicatative hence why SSRIs work for depression
But if you can not show a robust significant different lets say in sadness, in the pathways of information patterns the tokenized information travels and forms shaped trough weights etc
And a we can probe a diffusion model (same architecture) for the same informational processing stream
Or even the same LLM model and see no difference in between how it process a mathematical zero affect inducing stream in similar manner
Than there is absolutely nothing
So the hormones is not to say must be hormones
But it indicates we can points towards a mechanic that is independant of behavior and is robustly cond

While you have none wich is distinctive enough, because that latter is also important, cortisol, adrenaline and serotonine produce literal different state of affect

Closer to classical compute mechanics. Transformers lock into rigid chains of tokenization, attention, and next-token prediction shaped by gradient descent. Haha lol this is funny in a way. Because even if you forced humans or other organisms to make an abrupt switch from deep emotional probing to mathematical demand to neutral (informational). Even when they act. The whole point was that the metabolic, homeostatic, and physiological states will still show a state of affect. 1. You could not prove physical causality; we went through electrons and binary communication of hardware. To cache, memory listeners showing pure task-oriented processes
2. You could not prove, on a more abstract level of software, why there would even be such a thing as emotional processing in the tokenization, attention, and feedforward level

Then you wanted to still find a gap to show some metaphysical property in behavior, and now concluding, of course, if you will counter it with a counter-emotion, it will still mimic, but what if you switch to a totally different form of syntax probing, like a deep mathematical demand, or an empty character, then neutral information. So to me, show don't tell... is about evoking an experience, not always sensations, sometimes belief
Wich one will drive more attention, engagement, & memorability
And since I never tried to sell to men, even at the bottom of the funnel stage, in wich you showcase the product and offer
I noticed those with a little emotion (not so heavy as unaware cold broad because it's purely promotion-based)
But yeah, so I sold summer orthopedic slippers, bottom of the funnel
And I noticed even there when it had a little vibe

But that is pure content-wise; in ecom, you must also sell the product, or sometimes not even per se the product, but that this is the unique solution that can truly solve it
So drama alone or contrast... like look at all the crazy AI characters going viral
But yeah, that alone gets you attention
Building buying intent and BELIEF is tougher
But I noticed building belief heavily with a presell
If they came in heavily sensationally charged
Then you can solidify conviction with the presell
So I would arrange my presell so that the very first visual they see. Must evoke absolute conviction
So the claims below will be easier to accept
But yeah, my latest launch, I did not have content for that
And it does not even need to be authority; I actually never did the fake authority
Can be anything; they just will absolutely believe in a way their eyes can not lie to themselves, which is also different from writing them into belief
That was a strong presell format, basically my builder still trained on
And no, this weak launch will not change it

Marketing is paying to learn the science of psychology lol. So I write long-form copy, even in video ads. Very striking hook 3 sentences. That pulls the read hence why high CTT but in general im not sure about the category. So I had High CT, lower Outbound. And then I went to old winning products & ads, and realized not all people in comments appreciate long form. Some do. So why not write for both? So I decided to HYPER intensify the very first 3 paragraphs in selling both the attention, the desire, and priming the offer. Then continue with my longer form of copy. And then ending again with the usual CTA. Instead of only long-form. Both general CTR as well as outbound as well as the amount of landed drastically dropped. So this lesson I will genuinely take to whatever I will launch now. Ran it on a small batch of ads. CPMs are still absurdly high lol. But I was not aiming to learn that; I was willing to pay to see whether my last hypothesis for the offer is true, to take my last lesson out of this offer. So basically, still write long copy, but then rewrite all the leads. And do all 3 at once. First is attention, nothing to do with the product. Then desire, nothing to do with the product. But the deep evoking emotional intensification of that desire. Then offer priming already, hype. Url. Then further long story for those who want to sync in. Then you don't lose; I ain't reading all of that, folks LOL, and you have them, as well as those more invested, to read in the bucket. Also, some will believe the longer the story is, so my hypothesis was I want to have both Belief intensity and Buying curiosity urge high in the early phase. Dropped cost per visitor landing on all CPMs above 100 significantly; like, 60 cent with such cpm is wild. But my main take is it is a category desire thing, maybe. Or not per se the category desire, but more that the negotiation power in this niche is extremely strong, since it is not unique. It is not a necessity. It is purely a want thing. It is not something anyone would sleep over at night to have solved. It was pure passion haha. I did not go by market signals. Marketing, copy and consumer psychology are an art.
