This breakdown of the rhythm section of title song of Prithviraj (unreleased music by SEL) by @dipeshvarma at @allaboutmusicin today was one of the most amazing workshops!
It uses #NashikDhol, #PuneDholTasha, #Trashcans and maybe dozen other kinda drums for this incredible sound.
A maestro who was ahead of time & gave Hindi film music a whole new sound. An inspiration to millions, a legend who is still alive in every musician’s heart. On his birthday today here’s a humble offering to the great R D Burman. Special Thanks Amit Padhye – at Mumbai, India
