Huge shoutout to the @AsteraInstitute Open Science Entrepreneurs in Residence. These folks not only launched risky projects so they could move the needle..but this week at our on-site, they threw themselves at the mercy of org leadership, open science advisors with literally hundreds of years of collective experience, the public, and more to stress test their ideas and implementation. This is what it looks like to be fearless. Super grateful for their focused commitment to building solutions for all of us! ❤️😍

I really want to use #GCloud, but the interconnected web of service accounts, roles, permissions, services, sub-projects, etc, is horribly painful. I spend literally days attempting the most basic stuff, and I do this for a living. It's impenetrable.
why is it so damn hard to get a private sql database with terraform and #googlecloud? the first thing you need for a server, and it's insanely opaque and complicated
