Hey #WritingCommunity have you published your first novel or ended up putting no1 aside to focus on something else entirely?
I am playing around with moodboards for my debut novel I #amquerying. It's set on the idyllic island of #Crete, but it's not your standard commercial "Greek Island" setting. These more muted tones better represent the rustic landscape of the island.
I found a bunch of old hand written letters tucked into journal and hidden in a vanity at an antique store and I got really excited. So excited that I didn't read them or take a picture. I just stood there grinning. #antiques #WritingCommmunity #AmWriting #Writing
I am so glad I had no clue on how daunting it would be to get published while I was writing. Here I thought writing a book that took 5 years was the hardest part.

Nothing like hearing the sweet sounds of your manuscript when your beta reader (all the way in Portugal) makes a copy #amquering

The Olive tree of Vouveson on the island of Crete, Greece, is one of the oldest olive trees in the world.
Scientists from the University of Crete have estimated it to be 4,000 years old, which means that, when it sprouted, the last mammoths were still walking on Earth, someone in China was discovering bronze casting and the seventh Egyptian dinasty was declining.
The Minoan civilization was thriving and its monumental architecture was adorning the island of Crete. The first stones of the Palace of Minos at Knossos which inspired the myth of the Minotaur were laid.
This tree saw the humans deeds for thousands of years, from the Bronze Age to the artificial intelligence and, possibly the most amazing thing, it continues to produce olives at every season.
Cheers to the weekend. My second favourite! My numero uno is still Rubicon (although sometimes I can't tell the difference with the Red). I only drink wine occasionally, but when I do, @MeerlustWine is my fave 🍷
Trahana for breakfast. If you know, you know 🤤 #growingupgreek #welcometothevillage
