A reminder that @TroyJackson207 believes girls don’t deserve bathrooms, locker rooms, nor sports teams free of males.
He believes they should be forced to undress with & compete with males without their consent. He doesn’t respect the boundaries nor civil rights of Maine girls.
Moderator: "Will you fight the "Protect Girls' Sports" referendum?"
Troy Jackson: "This reminds me of native tribes in Maine... actually it's like when I was at the Canadian border... wait, I mean I'd prioritize males over females."
@TroyJackson207 do you believe that females should continue to be forced to undress next to - and compete against - males without their consent in our schools?
Wouldn't fighting for ALL Maine's kids mean standing up for their sex-based civil rights and respecting their intimate personal boundaries?
Every kid has a Sex. Sex is not Gender. And there's no right or wrong way to be male or female (dress, look, present, feel, identify how you want).
You cannot say you stand for every kid, but then support school & state policies that prioritize gender identity over biological reality.
That is inequitable, sexist, regressive, discriminatory.
If a female wants a female-only space or sport in school (or a jail cell!) they are owed that morally and legally. Same with males. Anything else is sex-based discrimination.
Will you help us END sex-based discrimination in our schools, or will you perpetuate it?
Will you believe women and girls? Like the dozens that testified on 4/14 in Augusta to the judiciary committee about masturbation, voyeurism, violence and mental trauma from being forced to share private spaces and sports with males?
Or, the women that are being forced to share prison cells with a 300-lb male murderer? Does their dignity matter? Their rights? Do they deserve equal protection and opportunity under the law?
It's not too late to stand for common sense. To stand with the 70% of Mainers (the majority of ALL political parties) that support sex-designated sports & spaces in our public schools.
Our referendum is inclusive, fair & equitable:
Everyone gets to play, nobody is ever banned. We simply designate sports & spaces in schools by the immutable, innate & common trait every human shares: their sex.
Join us! Be a dad. Be brave.

From our protest of Massachusetts' Framingham prison today. Over 30 people came to protest against men in women's prisons - and you see the half dozen men (and one woman) at the back?
Those are prison guards! They showed up to support us! Amazing! They've had it with this mess, too.
We at New England Solidarity thank those guards for their bravery, and we also thank our special guest speaker, the amazing @KnownHeretic, Amy Sousa! She and all of our other wonderful speakers did an incredible job.
And thank you to the other organizations that came out to stand with us against men in women's prisons: @DIAGdemocrats @WDI_USA @WomensLibFront @DetransJustice and Massachusetts Women for Sex-Based Rights. You are all awesome!

Important News for Mainers: After my conversations with the HHS Secretary and OMB Director this week, more than $38 million in federal home heating assistance will be released to help Maine families.
This is one of the earliest releases of LIHEAP funding. This announcement comes at a critical time, as rising home heating oil prices are placing significant financial pressure on Mainers.
No Mainer should have to choose between heating their home and paying for other basic necessities.

New England Women's Solidarity protested male inmates in the Maine women's prison in Windham today.
Thanks to the awesome women who came to protest and speak and to our co-hosting groups, @WDI_USA and @DIAGdemocrats.
We also thank @TheMaineWire, for sending reporters to cover it and the Maine legislators who came (Alicia Collins, Katrina Smith and Mike Soboleski).
There was a bit of an issue at the start when the prison refused to let us protest in front of the women's center where we had planned to, but we moved up the hill and carried on.
Now on to Massachusetts!
(I took the photo, so I'm not in it).

Without warning or consultation, Congress just received an $810 million package of pocket rescissions from the Administration. This is the most recent attempt by this Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to undermine Congress’s Constitutional power of the purse.
This move shows that OMB intentionally withheld these funds for months to execute this unlawful cancellation of appropriations that were approved on a bipartisan basis and signed into law.
Not only is the delay itself an impoundment that was not reported to Congress, but also it is a usurpation of Congress’s appropriations powers. OMB is an agency of the executive branch. It does not get to decide which programs are worth funding.
The independent Government Accountability Office has concluded that pocket rescissions are unlawful and not permitted by the Impoundment Control Act. Any effort to rescind appropriated funds without congressional approval is a clear violation of the law.
I will work with my colleagues to address these illegal actions.

Senator Collins voted to confirm OMB Director Vought, despite Vought’s known support for the President’s efforts to impound Congressionally-approved funds.

“Gender identity is in direct conflict to the objective reality of Sex”.
@KimJonesICONS gets to the heart of the issue in Maine and 23 other states: any prioritization of gender identity over biological sex is regressive, inequitable & discriminatory.
This is why Maine needs to harmonize our Human Rights Act with federal Title IX, which is exactly what our referendum will do when passed. Sign it so it can be voted on in 2027!
It will ensure every kid has access to single-sex locker rooms, bathrooms, and sports opportunities. Current school policies in Maine do the opposite: girls do not have access to female-only private spaces nor sports.
Single-sex sports and spaces at school is fair and inclusive, as it ensures equal opportunity and protection for ALL kids. Because everyone has a sex. Sex is not gender. And there’s no right or wrong way to be male or female.
We cannot force girls to undress with males, to share bathrooms with males, and to compete against males, all against their consent. And yet this happens every day, in every school in Maine.
This is immoral, and illegal. Maine is far too progressive to continue allowing sex-based discrimination in our schools!

The seven-year-old allegations made against Senator Collins and her staff in this piece are categorically false. There have never been any allegations of wrongdoing by the Collins for Senator campaign, and the campaign was never the target of the FBI investigation.
ProPublica took the word of someone who pled guilty to five counts of money laundering, three counts of wire fraud, one count of bank fraud, and making false submissions to the FEC. As Martin Kao was awaiting sentencing, he began making outlandish charges about the Collins office, deflecting blame from himself and placing it on Senator Collins, including alleging that our office required contributions before taking meetings and engaged in extortion, pay for play, and bribery. The FBI and the Court obviously did not believe Kao, and in 2025 he was sentenced in two separate cases to prison terms of seven years and three years to be served concurrently, as well as an additional five years of supervised release at the end of his prison term.
It is important to note that during the Biden Administration the FBI and the Department of Justice thoroughly investigated the Navatek matter. The Collins campaign cooperated fully with the FBI throughout the investigation, producing all of the documents it requested and serving as fact witnesses in official settings. In response to the allegations in the ProPublica piece, the FBI clearly stated that a suggestion of wrongdoing by Senator Collins or her staff is “totally false.”
These issues were resolved in 2021, and the FBI has not contacted us about Martin Kao since then.
New: In late 2024, FBI investigators had enough evidence to launch a sweeping bribery probe that could ensnare top lawmakers, including Sen. Susan Collins. Then Trump was reelected and eviscerated the FBI and DOJ teams handling public corruption probes. propub.li/4yLLwaF

🚨Referendum Moving to 2027 Ballot🚨
Months of law-fare pushed our petition 522 signatures short of the 67,682 needed and our appeal will not be decided in time for this Nov.
We are now collecting thousands of additional signatures and re-submitting for the 2027 ballot. Volunteer with us!
Make no mistake, our referendum (An Act to Designate School Sports Participation and Facilities by Sex) will be voted on, and it will pass.
70% of Mainers (the majority of every political party) agree that girls deserve bathrooms, locker rooms, showers and sports opportunities free of males.
Shenna Bellows' invalidation of our petition is seemingly driven by her own failed political ambition, radical bias, and her deeply-held, misogynistic belief that girls should be forced to undress with - and compete with - males without their consent.
At every turn, Mrs Bellows sought opportunity to tip the scales of democracy out of the hands of the people of Maine and into her own, bestowing herself powers that do not exist within Maine’s constitution nor any law or statute.
In her quest to shut down democracy and invalidate more signatures, she accepted the seemingly-coordinated testimony of the Maine People’s Alliance and Planned Parenthood (both of which had endorsed her failed gubernatorial bid) as truth, while falsely mischaracterizing the testimony of a petition circulator who had collected 1,400 valid signatures but simply forgot to check a box on her signed submission form; a falsification that had significant, material impact on the rulings of Maine’s Superior and Law courts to invalidate the petition.
Clear conflicts of interest didn’t stop Mrs Bellows, but instead became fuel to her own political ambitions. She adopted and copied the legal arguments of the out-of-state lawyers hired to shut down the petition, even after appearing on their podcast just months before to raise her own political profile. She then scheduled a press conference invalidating the petition, just a week before the Democratic primary in a failed attempt to boost her dismal polling numbers.
The people of Maine see past Mrs. Bellows and the Maine Women’s Lobby, both of whom believe young females should continue to be forced to undress with, share bathrooms with, and compete with, males without their consent.
The will of the people will be done, and sex-based discrimination in our schools is going to end come November 2027.
