Keep an eye on Brazil

merely treating it as a tragedy is already unfair when so many have been fully ignored, or even celebrated. once other preventable crimes are acknowledged, only then should 11/9 be acknowledged as a tragedy

3000 people died, ofc its a tragedy
but that doesn't mean its comparable in scale and overall damage
In this 11/9, we remember the countless lives taken by the US' invasions in the Middle East, and we condemn their murder of President Salvador Allende of Chile. #NeverForget

I like to say this: socialism recognizes that there is power in the economy, and so it should be democratic as well

yes, liberty is given to the class that dominates. the polish-lithuanian nobility's "golden liberty" was the same, but for nobles.
only by abolishing class do you expand liberty to all. the US' revolution was as progressive as the Roman republic's inception was.

the actual most effective anti-communism policy in American history was the Marshall Plan, but they can’t talk about that because they decided USAID was actually about spreading Marxism for some reason.
A quick reminder of how a proper nation stops communism from spreading.

"The US lost the Vietnam War. Troops withdrew in 1973; Saigon fell in 1975 and Vietnam unified under communist rule. Cambodia and Laos also became communist that year — the war did not stop communism spreading in Indochina. britannica.com/event/Vietnam-

The genocidal US blockade on Cuba costs $20.7 million per day—money that could’ve fed millions of Cuban children.
Yesterday’s six-hour UN meeting on Cuba cost $168,000—money that could’ve fed thousands of Cuban children.
Instead, the UN gave the Communist regime a stage for its propaganda while 10 million Cubans sat in a nationwide blackout.
It's time to stop the empty theatrics and put resources where they actually matter.

As someone living under a US-backed dictatorship, I can tell you this is how it begins. 2 years and 21 State of Exceptions later, we’re ruled by perpetual martial law with Pentagon bombs, sexual torture, military checkpoints, activists starved, waterboarded or disappeared by soldiers. A little DEA operation turns into the opening of an entire FBI Office in our capital, the military killing protesters at a general strike turned into targeted assassination plots on indigenous labor activists, a few visits from a U.S. Envoy turns into U.S. boots-on-the-ground operations where campesinos are electrocuted. Ecuador has lived all of this already: the hijacking of a once socialist nation literally beat into a Yankee colony. We cannot let it happen to our sister nation of Bolivia too.
💢 BREAKING: Bolivia’s Chamber of Deputies voted to repeal Law 1341, dismantling key legal restrictions that limited the president’s ability to impose a “state of exception” and deploy the military during internal unrest.
The law, passed in 2020, capped emergency powers at 60 days, required justification for suspending civil rights, and restricted military force against demonstrations. The repeal comes after four weeks of nationwide protests and road blockades demanding the resignation of President Rodrigo Paz.
Supporters say the law prevented authorities from clearing disruptions that have blocked food, fuel, and medical supplies from reaching major cities like La Paz.
Human rights groups warn the repeal removes critical safeguards and gives the executive branch sweeping powers to order a military crackdown on protesters by decree.
