I will NOT work on a video project unless it...
- will be used as part of our next reel.
- builds relationships that can lead to more business.
- creates revenue for my business.
I call these the three "R's" of our business strategy and I think it is invaluable.
The cherry on top of any video shoot is this:
Negative Fill
Adding negative fill can be as easy as hanging a black curtain just off frame. The goal is to reduce the amount of reflected light hitting the opposite side of the subjects face to the key.
I quit my job four years ago and haven't looked back.
A big part of what motivates me is my refusal to be drawn into the kinds of status games that dominate many workplaces.
Instead I:
- want to spend my time with my wife and family.
- want to work on projects that leave me feeling fulfilled.
- want to be able to take time to create a healthy life.
- want to stop doing things I hate.
CHEAP camera accessories everyone needs.
Clamps!
From mounting smaller cameras for overhead shots to giving you the ability to mount light in an obscure location, I always make sure I have 2-4 of these with me at all times because you never know when these can come in handy!
The team at @ouraring has introduced another amazing feature: chronotypes!
As an avid user of the Oura Ring for almost 2 years, I rely heavily on it to give me insights into how I feel day-to-day and to validate how I feel.

Further thoughts on Pok茅mon Violet:
Absolutely didn鈥檛 want to get it initially due to the bugs. And sure the performance isn鈥檛 the best in the series, but the storytelling and character development is far above any Pok茅mon game there is.
And Area Zero? Come on. I haven鈥檛 gotten chills like that playing a video game in ages. The atmosphere. The music. The Pok茅mon you encounter. The way you take on that journey with your friends.
It is all so incredible.
