Protip: “reaching across the aisle” is a phrase that’s coming up in this election cycle.
The word is *aisle*. As in: a bride walks down it.
And *isle* is an island. It is NOT “reaching across the isle” —Though the irony isn’t lost on me.
POV: retire the word “folksy”unless you’re talking about Pete Seeger #HarrisWaltz2024

Hey #musicology,
I know I said I was hesitant to do this, but I have room on my dance card to teach at least one or two more classes this fall! open to any and all last minute requests. One more class means close to breaking net even in my monthly income.

The civil rights movement opened many doors. But our work is not done yet. In today's @BostonGlobe, I reflect on my experience and call for continued commitment to diversity and opportunity in #highered.

Dear #musicologytwitter, i don’t have a job lined up for the fall. It’s taken me awhile to process the grief of not being renewed at a place I’ve invested in for 7 years (tho w contingent contract always a possibility). Will only teach fulltime, Bc i deserve a livinwage. Can zoom

Thread. Between ADHD and astigmatism making reading increasingly difficult, I’ve been finding text-to-speech (and vice versa) more helpful. I haven’t found an effective way to speech-to-text for writing yet. Will def try this! – at Maynard, MA

A block of House Republicans should get together with Democrats to pick a speaker to run a coalition government, which will moderate the House and marginalize the extremists.
In spring semester, I’ll be teaching a Renaissance Music graduate seminar at Boston University, Dept of Musicology/Ethnomusicology —“Renaissance Musical Geographies”

Here's a write-up on his work (you should all read it). He writes sensitively and beautifully and every time I hear him speak or read something he's written, it transforms the way I think about music. disabilityarts.online/magazi… 2/2
