I want to take a second to talk about JT Miller. And I hope every kid takes this and runs with it.
This video was after Game 4. Took responsibility. Took ownership. Took the heat for the game winner in the last minute.
Game 5 he goes out and he scores the game winner in the last minute.
I don’t know if hockey karma or the hockey gods were on full display last night, but this is so unbelievably fitting.
Every legit elite player I’ve had as a coach, ownership of their game was a defining characteristic of who they were.
Accountability. Ownership. Responsibility. These things MATTER.
Excuses, pointing fingers, they get you nowhere.
Ownership of your own development and play is a POWERFUL thing.
