HQ approved your new HR policy. But can you implement it in Germany?
Some changes need works council involvement before rollout.
Check the process before announcing a date.

Planning to grow your German team from 8 to 25?
Before confirming start dates, check whether your employment setup can support that growth.
A hiring plan needs more than an approved budget.
You've found the right candidate in Germany.
But before promising a joining date, have you checked whether any employee representation requirements apply?
It's easier to plan for them now than manage delays later.
Think works councils are only for large German companies?
Employees may elect one in an establishment with as few as 5 eligible voters, if 3 can stand.
Growing your team? Check what applies before hiring.

Ever avoided asking a “basic” question about international hiring?
Notice periods, works councils and contractor status can change across countries.
The costly mistakes often start with assumptions nobody checked.
What do you wish you'd asked sooner?
#GlobalHiring #HRLeadership
You've confirmed your international hire's start date.
But have you confirmed their first payday?
Payroll cut-offs and onboarding timelines can affect that first payment.
It's worth checking before they join.

Your Dutch contractor invoices monthly. But who sets their hours, assigns their work and manages them?
Under Wet DBA, those details matter.
Not sure which arrangements need reviewing? DM Dhi ADT with “DBA”.
#WetDBA #HRCompliance
Your Dutch contractor joined for a three-month project, but two years later, they're still following your working hours and reporting to your manager.
They're invoicing as self-employed, but does the actual working relationship support that?
#WetDBA #NetherlandsHiring
Since Wet DBA enforcement resumed in January 2025, employers have had more reason to review contractor arrangements.
A signed agreement alone isn't enough. How the contractor works in practice matters when assessing misclassification risks.
#ContractorCompliance
If your company works with Dutch contractors, it's worth reviewing arrangements that may have changed over time.
Dhi ADT can help you assess the risks and explore your options.
DM us “DBA” to discuss your setup.

Your hiring plan worked in one European market. Will it work in the next?
Employment rules, registration requirements and the right hiring structure can change by country.

0 votes • Final resultsUK companies entering Finland can make one assumption too early: that hiring will follow the same process as the UK.
Finland has no national statutory minimum wage. Pay and employment terms can instead depend on the collective agreement covering your sector.
A Finland payroll can look completely correct while the pension payment is going to the wrong provider.
We found this during a payroll review. The calculations were correct, the payslips looked fine, but the contributions had been sent to the wrong provider from the first pay run
The lesson: payroll checks shouldn't stop at “was the contribution calculated correctly?”
You also need to confirm that the right provider received it and that their records match your payroll report.
