for a long time it felt like the world was fully optimized against you you go to buy something, you get a bunch of ads and upsells and micro optimizations to get you to spend more you go to consume some specific content and the algo puts in things that are hard to ignore and designed to get you to spend more time agents are the first time i've felt like maybe things can go in a different direction. send your robot into that mess and it can ignore it all and do your task i'm not naive, this is going to be an insane battle with entrenched interests doing their best to fight it but there's a small chance that in the end we can finally be free of this (until the next new problem)

It's being reported on various news sites that safety inspectors at the palisades nuclear site they're trying to bring back online do not feel comfortable or heard when raising safety issues. This is an old plant - 55 years old. We need _SAFE_ nuclear. _MODERN_ nuclear.

I got FOMOed into starting to build out like a machine shop in the basement last year because of X. It was just me being ADHD but I finally picked up the Swag finger brake kit and actually need to build some metal boxes for projects. Idk, there really is opportunity for just building and selling things even in lower volumes. Knowing how to code and being a maker kinda go well.

I think it's worth mentioning that there's a battle for belief - if people feel SI is real, effort and capital follow, it manifests and cancer is cured. Causality is sometimes reversed in a way I do not understand, woven like a web by people with social capital.

Does anyone use LLMs for electronics work? I'm trying to wire like some n channel mosfet controllers in an h bridge to drive a transformer to AC with pwm and it's suggesting a lot of things that would explode if attempted. I'm not like super strong with building circuits.

Wanted more flexibility with fuses, like 100ma, 500ma fast blow fuses. They don't make automative fuses I can find that small, so tried to make an adapter. Kind of works. Another revision would be solid.
