Not costly, don't put fear on anyone. Cloud Architect Expert here. My estimate puts it at about $90 - $120 per month if you wanna have 2 app servers that can act as load balancers + 1 DB server. Put both behind Cloudflare which will handle Caching, etc. You need an 8-core CPU with 24GB RAM each which is about $30/month on Contabo. For a 3rd server, you can host your DB (Postgres/Redis) at another $30 per month. If you don't want to go that route, get a Ryzen dedicated VPS with 12 cores for $120/month, it will handle this seamlessly, but it isn't as 'efficient' as the architecturally optimized 3-VPS route, which guarantees redundancy. It's not that costly. It's when you begin to have millions of concurrent users that you have a challenge with server costs. Meanwhile, if no one wants to say it: if money was the sole reason for accepting that funding from GB and co, then it was a wrong move. They had enough runway to manage server and associated operational costs. Now, they are a bit handicapped in terms of product direction, going forward.
Do you know how much servers cost for 100k live users?

Back in 2018, open source changed my life. It gave me opportunities, a community, and a chance to build something that people around the world could use. But there was a problem: it wasn't sustainable for me to do open source full-time. And I still wish I could. I know I'm not the only one. Across Africa, there are developers and maintainers building libraries, frameworks, tools, and infrastructure that deserve more recognition and financial support. So I built something for us. Introducing flossafrica.com. A platform making it easier for open-source creators and maintainers in Africa to get discovered, receive sponsorships, and sustain the work they do. You get visibility. Your projects get a place to be discovered. And patrons can support your work without jumping through hoops. Powered by @bachs_hq Connect, maintainers receive 100% of the money patrons sponsor, accessible same day for Naira sponsorships. No complicated funding process. Just people supporting the software that makes the internet, businesses, and our communities work. I believe Africa needs both: → Builders creating profitable products. Find them on pairlore.com. → Builders creating the open-source foundations and critical software that others depend on. Both deserve a place in Africa's technology story. @flossafrica is for the second group. If you're an African open-source maintainer, I'd love to see what you're building, go add your projects and setup your account to receive funds. And if you believe open source deserves better support on the continent, go fund a maintainer on FLOSSAfrica or at the very least, help me spread the word. Open source changed my life. I want to help make it sustainable for the next generation of African builders.

Thrilled to announce that I’ve joined @Vercel to help build the AI SDK! ▲ I’m so lucky to be part of this world class team that’s pushing the web forward every day. It’s also an especially exciting time to be part of the Agent Stack, with eve.dev releasing just last week. I’m excited to dive in and keep iterating on the AI SDK. I’ve valued a free and open web and internet for years — basically ever since the concept was introduced to me — and with AI and agents and everything, it’s becoming more and more easy for everyone to have a website and make anything on the web. I think much of that is thanks to what Vercel has built and I’m so hyped to now be part of continuing to build it.

All the scams that has happened in Nigeria in the last 10 years isn’t up to $3.7 BILLION. Stop thinking Nigerians lose VISA access because of issues like fraud or terrible press, the biggest reason is because we have a very low negotiating power as a country and our leaders are not doing their job.
“Ibrahim Khaldoon Hilmi is charged with one of the biggest Medicare scams in history - allegedly orchestrating a massive $3.7 BILLION scheme to defraud Medicare. He’s been on the run since May of 2025 - but we got him. Thanks to outstanding work from FBI Miami, the Justice Department, and our partners in Turkey, Hilmi was apprehended overseas and after a Foreign Transfer of Custody, he is back in the U.S. to face justice. This is yet another massive win for this FBI’s war on fraudsters with the White House Task Force led by VP Vance - and a monumental victory for the Trump administration showing that any criminal actor who steals from the American taxpayer will be caught, no matter where they try to hide. Special thanks to Ambassador Tom Barrack who continues to be an invaluable partner to us - this case could not have been accomplished without his tireless work.

This is no flex compared to someone driving a turbocharged V8 or a naturally aspirated V10 with a valvetronic exhaust through a tunnel in Miami.
You need to experience this at least once in your life before you die. Start working hard this year.

Calling all vibe coders! Introducing Building Durable UIs in the Era of Vibe Coding I'm tired of opening web apps where 😭: — the filters reset when I refresh — the URL shows nothing about the page state — the back button takes me to a blank form — sharing a link sends someone to a completely different view — The modals don't respect hitting the escape key to close This is what happens when nobody thinks about where state lives. AI won't teach you this taste. I will. sailscasts.com/courses/durab… Price goes up after the first 1,000 founding vibe coders purchases the course.

No offense to the Zod devs but I don't understand why Zod has to exist. Why can't we just use the schema format we already have, that is, TypeScript? Why is there no way to construct a schema validator from a TypeScript type? This seems like such an obvious thing.
