Our #neatHack submission
On day one my AI tester lied that a click worked, so I built First User to prove everything: it tries your site like a new customer, shows exactly where it gets stuck, and re-checks your fix.

building agents is easy
getting them to production is hard
today weโre launching @neatlogs to fix that
Senior engineers don't write more code.
They delete more code.
Thoughts ๐ญ๐ค?

My work week:
Korean standup at 6am
US client calls at 10pm
Chai in between
Remote work from India isn't a compromise. It's an arbitrage.
Too good...
The part about reliable AI agents and verification caught my attention.
We're moving from โAI can write codeโ to โcan we trust what it builds?โ
As developers, shipping faster means nothing if we skip verification. ๐

Developers, settle this debate ๐
When it comes to Git, whatโs your go-to?
Terminal โ real ones type their commits
Git extension โ visualizing the chaos is easier ๐
No judgment. Just curious whoโs winning this battle ๐

Terminal, always.
Why move my hand to the mouse when I can introduce 3 new bugs with one command? ๐๐
Yrr, why is recording yourself so awkward ๐ญ๐
I can literally speak in front of 100+ people, but the moment a camera is pointed at me, I forget how to act normal
I can feel your pain, sir. Camera ke saamne toh meri bhi saari public speaking skills resign kar deti hain ๐๐
Founders: when was the last time you tried your own signup like a stranger?
Not as the person who built it. As someone who's never seen it.
Most bugs that cost you users don't throw errors. They just make people quietly leave.
I built an agent that does this for you ๐
The team behind First User:
๐ง one observability tool (@neatlogs )
๐ค one coding agent
โ one me
3 days. Tusi trio was cooking
#Build #buildInpublic #neatHack
One @neatlogs watching every step.
One coding agent writing the code.
One me making the calls.
This trio is cooking something ๐
First User was just the start.

A founder ran my agent on his live site.
It flagged that pricing info was confusing.
He replied with feedback.
I shipped the fix the same morning.
That's the whole loop I'm building:
find it โ fix it โ check again.

First User read doodle.samistudio.nl and suggested what a first-time visitor should try. Here's the brief: firstuser-dv.vercel.app/brieโฆ #neatHack via @devsdv_
3 days. Solo. One AI agent.
โ
7/7 real journeys verified, two rounds in a row
โ 0/3 broken sites wrongly called a success
๐ธ ~1 cent per run
Small benchmark. Not a guarantee.
But every number traces back to a real log.

Day one, my AI agent lied to me.
Clicked "Add to cart." Reported โ success.
The cart was empty.
It didn't mean to lie. It just never checked.
So I gave it one rule: prove everything.
Now every click says if the page actually changed, and admits when the first try failed.
#neatHack #buildInPublic
Building First User taught me more than I expected.
Every bug I fixed showed me another thing founders actually need.
The idea list is now longer than the code. A few are coming soon ๐

I planted one bug in my demo shop to test my AI agent.
It found it. I fixed it. Pressed "Check again."
It came back stuck again, on a bug I DIDN'T plant.
My checkout page had no order summary. I never noticed. My agent did.
The tool I built to be honest was honest with me ๐
Watching the other #neatHack builders' demos inspired me to make one more video for First User.
This time, First User tells its own story: how it lied on day one, and learned to prove everything.

2 days until the #neatHack results.
3 days ago I started with one idea: what if every founder had a QA team that tries their site like a real customer?
Day one, my own agent lied to me. It said "Added to cart โ". The cart was empty.
So I rebuilt it to prove everything.
This is First User ๐

Someone told me today that they'd "steal" one part of what I built.
Not the AI agent. Not the browser automation.
Three labels.
Every claim First User makes about your website carries one:
โ Observed: it saw it happen
โ Verified: a separate, independent check confirmed it
โ Unknown: it couldn't check, so it says so
It sounds small. But it came from the hardest lesson of the build: on day one, my agent said a click worked when nothing had changed. An AI that sounds sure about everything can't be trusted about anything.
So, please steal it. I'd love it if every AI tool showed what its claims actually rest on.

A founder tried First User on his product and said:
"I'd call pricing 'not found' instead of 'not published', since it only read two pages."
He's right. It shouldn't claim more than it checked.
Shipped the fix the same morning. Thanks @TheXSami ๐
