watching frontier traders compete is fun but did u know there’s a ultra high concentration of Nobel prize winners discussing AI and data rn in Singapore?
Sir Konstantin Novoselov - Nobel Prize in Physics 2010
Prof. Benjamin List - Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2021
Fred Ramsdell - Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2025
Sir Christopher Pissarides - Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences 2010
Prof. Omar M. Yaghi - Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2025
3rd year at KBW but first time actually checking out the official event.
the conference is popping and strong attendance at the talks, and overall well organized.
Had fun discussing all things data, from security to agents and everything in between.
Now the side events!
TLDR
in tech we have very well developed security infra for code.
but for data, we are still in very early days… eg Anthropic showed only 250 poisoned docs are enough to backdoor an LLM… of ANY size.
we are working on this problem.
Excited to see Meta compete with the Apple vision pro.
When I tried the APV 2 years ago, it was a clear glimpse into the future, but not quite there yet.
These VR glasses will hopefully be a (big?) step forwards in a segment that has high potential but is still too clunky.
BREAKING: we've officially entered a deal to acquire Miro for $1.355B! 😍
Anthropic Is building a surveillance system to monitor activists using a “pre-crime” approach that tries to predict incidents before they happen.
The extensive monitoring system that the AI company is building is aimed primarily at keeping tabs on activists who oppose the rapid development of artificial intelligence.

Trace updates:
demand for verifiable AI training data has exploded so most of the past few weeks have gone into infra, current priority is making sure we can handle what's coming. first things first we moved to a hybrid dynamo + postgres architecture that separates hot writes from analytical reads, can hold >1,000 TPS sustained on registrations
broadcaster layer was the other bottleneck, spent time tuning batch sizes and wallet counts to get confirmations landing faster, also stood up a dedicated test network alongside testnet for crazy experiments
nearing 150m receipts and counting, coming from 350k+ contributors and 220tb of data.. all of this content-addressed, hashed, anchored on-chain
we also added full grafana observability across every component, broadcaster sends, stuck batches, failed jobs, wallet drift, plus chaos testing where we take pieces down on purpose to see how the system stays resilient. at this scale (and with all the AI pen testing that is happening these days), failures aren't an if but a when, and we obvs prefer to find them ourselves than in prod
all in all very productive couple weeks. more partner apps onboarding soon + lots of new features on the roadmap otw. will share more on that soon.
billions of receipts is the target, feels closer every day.
