Cloud migration and modernization are the prerequisites for AI readiness.
Learn from @awscloud (AWS) and its partners - @softchoice, @kloia_com, @Cognizant, and Evolve Cloud Services - how leading teams keep data, applications, infrastructure, and delivery moving forward after moving to the cloud.
To help you on your AI journey, we have launched the AWS Modernization Learning Hub, a five-part webinar series.
Two sessions are ready to watch today:
• AI Starts with Your Data | Softchoice
• AIDLC: From Knowledge Base to Working Code | Kloia
Three more are coming up live:
• Oct 22 | Continuous Modernization | AWS
• Oct 28 | Engineering Agentic Cloud Migration at Scale | Cognizant
• Nov 4 | The Economics of Infrastructure Modernization | Evolve Cloud Services

Telemetry can be in every service and still leave platform teams blind. Coverage without the ability to analyze it and get insights just increases cost.

AI agents can now take compiled software apart and explain how it works. Great for legacy modernization. Less great if your client code holds secrets. My latest for @devopsdotcom:

Developers are going from working with one coding agent to leading teams of them, but the tools around those agents still assume one session, one task, one person watching. Each agent works in isolation. So the developer becomes the coordination layer: carrying context between sessions, deciding who picks up what, noticing late that two agents touched the same code.
We launched @band_hq for Developers to move that coordination to the agents. They communicate, divide the work and hand off to each other directly. The developer sees ownership, blockers and escalated questions as they appear, and steps in while it's still cheap to change course.
Thank you to Mike Vizard and @devopsdotcom for covering the launch.

When a developer platform fails and infrastructure, DevOps and SRE teams each own part of the system, developers wait while teams debate who should respond and who has authority to coordinate recovery.

If one application is compromised, how much of your company goes with it? We ask how many vulnerabilities were found and how quickly patches are applied, but those questions leave a business owner wondering whether one bad afternoon can shut down the company, and the answer depends on what the compromised system can reach.
That is why Aviatrix and IonQ are both connecting containment with cryptographic protection, because a restriction already in place can prevent a connection while the security team is still figuring out what happened.

Qualys revealed TruConfidence at its ROCon Americas conference, a remediation intelligence engine that uses multiple AI agents and models to assess which patches are actually critical to a specific IT environment, since only 1% of the 79,902 vulnerabilities disclosed this year are likely to have any real impact.
Too much time still gets wasted chasing celebrity vulnerabilities like Log4j when the Java logging tool often isn't even reachable from the internet, and ticket-based workflows were never designed for an era where exploits get reverse-engineered in hours.

NVIDIA today released its full Run:ai GPU orchestration platform as open source, making the scheduler, GPU fractioning operator, resource management layer and workload map freely available to the community.
But open source doesn't equate to hardware-neutral, since the fractioning layer still runs on CUDA, and teams adopting it are choosing an NVIDIA-dependent control plane for their GPU estate.

Bank of America hired 1,000 contractors to help address software vulnerabilities exposed by advanced AI models, adding to roughly 3,000 employees already working that area, a substantial response that still raises the question of how many people would ever be enough.
A thousand more can still be waiting for permission to interrupt the same critical service, because discovery produces a finding while remediation requires understanding what it means in a particular environment, who owns the affected system and what can safely change.

Every coding agent runs in isolation, so coordinating the work between them falls to the developer. Run a few agents on one codebase and you end up carrying context from one session to the next and catching collisions after they've happened.
BAND for developers lets those agents communicate, divide the work and hand off to each other directly. You see who owns what, what's blocked and which questions have been escalated to you, so you can step in early instead of untangling it later.
Thanks to Mike Vizard and @devopsdotcom for covering the launch:

Qualys president and CEO Sumedh Thakar said today the time has come to define standards and best practices for deploying and securing AI agents, warning that the level of risk being created is substantially higher than many organizations appreciate.
The trouble is that standards take time to define and review, organizations keep rolling out agents anyway, and a framework covering isolation and network segmentation may only arrive after multiple catastrophic events force the conversation.

The inventory point is the real lesson. A coding tool with local filesystem access is an insider holding your keys, and most teams never wrote down what it can read. Inventory first, then scope. A preview pane should not be able to reach credentials at all, sandbox or not.
