Growing up, I was always D1 or nothing. But over the last year, after visiting colleges and having conversations with different programs, I’ve realized just how expensive college really is. 🙃
My goals have changed a lot over the past year. Now, I want to graduate with as little debt as possible. I want to go into education, and while I know it’s not a career that makes a ton of money, it’s where my heart is. Because of that, I don’t want to graduate with more debt than I could realistically make in four years of teaching.
I also want to find a school where I can contribute, make an immediate impact, and grow both academically and athletically.
D1, D2, D3, or NAIA — honestly, it doesn’t matter to me anymore. What matters is finding the right college for me, one that will help me succeed in the classroom, on the field, and financially after graduation.
I’ve learned that the “best” school isn’t necessarily the school with the biggest name or the highest division. It’s the school that gives me the best opportunity to become the person and teacher I want to be. ❤️

Went to lots of camps during my recruiting process, this was the best. By far. Tons of coaches, actually watching us work out and play. Got multiple offers out of this camp. Wish I had found it sooner.
Thank you #NYSSCOG and @nysswa, I am humbled and honored to be selected to the NY All-State team! Congrats to @JaedaB2027 @averybetancou16 @RyleePetruskie and all the other deserving selections as well! @CareySeaHawks @NightmaresNew
Softball chicks clean up pretty good! Senior Prom 2026 in the books. Grad next, then on to the next chapter.
Out at the Power 24 this weekend supporting my 2027 & 2028 unrecruited teammates who were there for me every step of the way. Beautiful day for softball!
Great advice, and the Truth.
Recruiting is a lot like dating.
If you’re talking to multiple schools, you probably wouldn’t announce every conversation, every date, or every person who showed interest. You’d quietly build relationships and see where things lead.
Offers are similar.
Work quietly. Build relationships. Trust God’s timing. Not every opportunity is meant to become your future home.
The time to make a big announcement is when you’ve found “the one” and you’re committed.
Posting every offer rarely creates leverage, and sometimes it can actually turn coaches away. Focus on finding the right fit, not collecting logos.
You can make plans, send emails, attend camps, and build relationships—but ultimately, God is the One directing your path.
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” — Proverbs 16:9 ✝️🥎
