It is with great sadness that we must announce that the Devonshire Cat will not be re-opening as an Abbeydale Brewery pub.

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind words and messages of support yesterday. We have read every single one and it's been really poignant to see how much @devonshirecat meant to so many of you.
Thanks to @mondobrewing for organising the Virtual Pub session with our very own @AbbeydaleBeers. The Mondo Tap Takeover here will definitely happen one day! #AbbeydaleMondo 🍻

Tonight! Join us and @mondobrewing in the virtual pub because we're sad we can't be at @devonshirecat. Pop a beer in the fridge and join in the chat using #abbeydalemondo 🍻 – at Sheffield, England
Join us tomorrow evening for our "virtual pub" on Insta-live 🍻
Can’t wait to crack these open tomorrow evening. Join us and @AbbeydaleBeers as we host a virtual pub on Instagram live from 9pm to 10pm tomorrow night. The Mondo team will be drinking some Abbeydale (graciously received!) and Abbeydale some Mondo, while chatting all things beer.

...but join us next week as we host a virtual pub on Instagram live from 9pm to 10pm on Thursday 28th May. The Mondo team will be drinking some Abbeydale, and Abbeydale some Mondo, while chatting all things beer and lockdown.
Why not get an order or two in and join us?
We're really sad that we aren't able to deliver our Tap Takeover with Mondo but please join us at the "Virtual Pub" over on Instagram next Thursday 🍻
A thread. Join us and @AbbeydaleBeers next Thursday ‘down the pub’. In real life, we would have been hosting a tap takeover at Sheffield’s @devonshirecat this evening, crawling out of bed on Friday to brew a crispy IPL with a crispy hangover. Alas, it’s not to be...

BEERS FOR THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
Our deadline for guaranteed delivery by Friday has now passed, but we’re now in a position to trial a collection service from the Devonshire Cat on Friday 22/5 from 1-6.30pm!
For all of our lovely regulars who are missing their favourite beers; please stay safe, stay at home and if you're hankering for your favourite beers then take a look at the brewery's fantastic online shop for safe, local deliveries ❤️

*FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ALL DOUBT*. Our two lovely pubs @Risingsunsheff and @devonshirecat closed on Friday, shortly before the government announcement came out, and will remain so until told it is safe to reopen.
As well as this generous gesture from @AbbeydaleBeers if you happen to be around the City centre, we are offering 40% off any of our drinks for takeaway! This includes any bottles, our draft selection, wines, gin, whisky, rum so bring down any vessel you have that can hold it!
Tommorows sunday which can only mean one thing! Sunday roasts are served until 8pm, desserts are only £3 each when you purchase any of our roasts.

Good beer is at the heart of most of what we do here but tonight's tap takeover is not all about the beer, it's about celebrating the LGBT+ people making beer, promoting beer and organising beer events. The beer community can be a frightening environment for queer people (1/3)
but things are slowly getting better and it's down to people, like those featured in our tap takeover, who are pushing boundaries and unapologetically being themselves in difficult environments. (2/3)
We're all ready for our "Beers brewed by Queers" tap takeover! The pub is looking very colourful and the beers are tasting great. Very excited to welcome everybody tonight. All kicking off at 5pm 🍻🏳️🌈

Our collab with @outandaboutshef and @AbbeydaleBeers is officially launching tonight at @devonshirecat's Beers Brewed By Queers event! We've also got our @BeavertownBeer collab pouring alongside beers from @FranksBrewSussx, @anthologybrewco, @AbbeydaleBeers and @marblebrewers!
