just wanted to remind you:
☀️ you’re valuable even if you’re going through change
☀️ perfection is overrated
☀️ indulge in optimism, it will make life sweeter
☀️ we control nothing except how to respond
☀️ you deserve, overwhelmingly, to be loved and supported
Hi Twitter. I need your help.
A few years ago, I had a freak accident that sent me into catastrophic kidney failure. I've been struggling to find a kidney donor ever since. I'm in dire need of a type O+/- kidney and ask that you please share my story.

one reason i love @3dfordesigners’s course is that each lesson is just a few min and so it felt very doable to try one lesson a day

I forgot to add that I think @devonko_ does that the best with @3dfordesigners. I wish more online tutorials were setup like hers.
productization of apps + “don’t make me think” ux culture obliterated customization, reducing opportunity for playful or incidental coding
now usually a premium/dev feature
but playgrounds like @codepen @glitch @codecademy emerged to fill the void
creativity always finds a way

wow, really makes me think about the rigidity of social media today. interesting that a lot your responses are listing coding programs, whereas these platforms were places where code/design was encouraged as a means to self expression, rather than an explicit tool to code/design
many internet gworls of my generation got into coding through livejournal, neopets, myspace, tumblr, and other community spaces that valued creativity + self-expression
what apps today offer a direct entry point / inspire curiosity around using technology to be creative?
i think we should let people enjoy things no matter how cringe / tasteless / devoid of culture
but for digital artists + designers, our work often does suffer from lack of imagination or cultural exposure or just, like, significant lived experience outside tech
AHHHH NOW @CODECADEMY HAS BEEN ACQUIRED 👏🏻👏🏻
i was employee #2 + og designer (started same day as @amasad)
early team was extremely talented, founding era 2011-2012 was WILD ride. 10 years later, this! huge congrats @zsims @ryanbubinski
here's a throwback, this was our LIFE 💀
after 10 years of building @Codecademy, our next chapter will be with @Skillsoft! i'm so grateful to our team, our learners, and our investors for helping us to build something that's helped tens of millions of learners (and it's only the beginning!).

y'all keep trying to find the scrappiest makers in the same group of lethargic software engineers
meanwhile the indies are already deploying their world domination strategy 👀🔥
