Shared about my thoughts on building taste. As of today, the speed in which teams are shipping features, it has become overwhelming to be creative unless you're an natural in design and creatives.
yashsehgal.com/writings/thou…
One of the practices I am following is to consume and draw inspirations from other domains of art, luxury, and music more than ever and use them to design something fresh.
PS: These thoughts are random, I have spoken about various points that I think can help you understand the steps of making something beautiful.
happy to share that I’ve joined @netomi_official as a Senior Software Engineer :)
3 months in, and it’s been a great start 🥰

I've always loved studying biology. Studying about humans, DNA, and basically knowing how things actually work inside a human body has always excited me since I was young.
But as a biology student, the path always seemed limited - MBBS, pharma, the usual. So after my 10th grade, just like everyone around me, I started preparing for NEET.
As time went by, I realised this wasn't the path for me, and somewhere along the way I felt like I was walking someone else's path. Moreover, getting out of this loop makes it even worse, especially when you've grown up believing a biology background doesn't open many doors, so you keep holding on - not because you want to, but because you never knew there was so much more. Fortunately, I was able to get out of it somehow.
A few months back, I came across bioinformatics, and after doing my research about it, I knew this was it and I decided to at least give it a shot.
Honestly, growing up, most of us have no clue that fields like bioinformatics or computational biology even existed, and if they were ever mentioned, they were always the backup options. Most of the time, "What if MBBS doesn't work out?" plan.
Alongside all of this, I always had this desire to learn programming or tech in general. It was always there. Long before 2026. I just did not know what to do with it or where to begin.
So that's when I realised bioinformatics is what might fit me the best - where biology meets code, and where a biology student can finally enter the world of tech.
Even today, bioinformatics is very underrated. Most biology students don't even know it exists as a career path. I myself had no idea where to start, what resources I should use.
Then I looked for a beginner community for people like me. Couldn't find one. So I built one and named it Code and Cells - a space for beginners exploring bioinformatics and for those who are further along, because the best learning happens when we share it.
Who should join Code and Cells:
- People who do not know where to begin
- Those who are in search of resources
- People who are further along and want to share their knowledge and resources
- Those exploring the intersection of biology and tech
- People who love to learn together
🔗 If that sounds like you, come join: discord.gg/JusuFhyq85
- Share and discover resources
- Learn together from scratch
- Ask questions without judgement
I'm still at the very beginning of this journey myself and that's why I built this, because you don't need to have it all figured out to start.
This hits on a problem I've been feeling a lot lately!
AI makes it ridiculously easy to generate docs, plans, and implementation notes, but digging up the right context later is often harder than writing the code in the first place!
Love the local-first approach here. Congrats on the launch, Brennan 🔥
After months-long optimization push, I'm pumped to launch DevSpecs today!
It’s a free, open-source, local-first CLI for making AI-assisted development less forgetful.
It scans specs, plans, ADRs, PRDs, task notes, and code in your repo, then gives you stable IDs and agent-ready context packs.
No cloud. No account. No background sync.

1/ At @ThisDotLabs, I built a Codex Plugin, called Build Web Data Visualization with DevEx Lead @coreyching from OpenAI.
With this plugin, Codex uses image gen to design the app and then implements it really well. See the examples below. Claude can’t do this!🧵

Catch you in a few hours!
Yappy Hour is happening today and we'd love to see you there!
Come hang out with the community, talk tech, career chaos, side projects, AI, memes, and whatever else the week threw at you.
Good people, good conversations, zero pressure.

Insane result: From 1.46 million to 182k tokens across 54 cases against real repos
I’ve spent the last few weeks optimizing my local intent-mining CLI for software projects.
It finds specs, ADRs, plans, RFCs, agent docs, etc. Then statically packs what an agent needs.
Latest run: 87.6% fewer tokens with precision, recall, sufficiency, discovery, etc unchanged.
Full eval + updated CLI soon!
Really proud to show off the 3D dungeon game I built for @OpenAI using Codex, GPT 5.5 (and 5.4) and new plugins/skills I worked on. This game was created in about 2 work days, including art and audio, etc. This doesn't even show all of the dev tools that are built in.
GPT-5.5 is here - two demos I wanted to share and are featured in the launch post.
One is a playable 3D dungeon arena prototype built with Codex and GPT models — from game architecture and combat systems to HUD feedback, environment textures, and character dialogue.
The other is an interactive visualization of live USGS earthquake data, combining a global map, timeline, and depth profile to explore recent seismic activity.
Fun launch, checkout out more in our official blog âž™

Rama is the greatest of all time because he lived a life where the choices he made were always in the benefit of the greater good, duty over desire, and sacrifice over self.
His legacy continues to enhance and empower humanity over time and bring the belief in the goodness of the human spirit to resolve all conflict and bring peace to the world.

Tessa has been the best lead, hands down. Learned so much under her!
Any team would be lucky to have her :)
I am looking for a new role following a company-wide downsizing.
I’ve spent the last 4 years as Head of Developer Relations at Appwrite, and it gave me more career and personal growth than any other role I’ve had. They truly pushed me to my full potential, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I’m proud of everything we accomplished. It’s been an amazing run!
I recently read Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, and now this is one of my favorite books. If you haven’t read it, you really should. It’s about finding purpose, even in the most difficult circumstances.
With both of my kids heading off to college in the next couple of years, I’ve been thinking a lot about what drives me. For me, it’s meaningful work. Waking up each day to build, contribute, create value, and make an impact is what motivates me.
I’m looking for a Developer Relations role as a:
* Founding team member
* Senior / Staff
* Head of / Director / VP
If you’re building in tech, especially AI, and need someone to own the bridge between product and community, I’d love to connect.
If you know of a strong fit, I’d appreciate any leads or introductions.

Right now, a lot of engineering orgs are stuck in experimentation mode, testing prompts, trying agents, but not seeing consistent impact in how they ship.
This workshop is about closing that gap.
@thisdotlabs is breaking down how teams are actually integrating AI into real workflows, including how to structure prompts, where agents fit, and how to automate parts of the dev cycle without adding noise.
It’s practical, grounded, and built around what’s working today.
